Personally, I think the more modest increases are easier to swallow. A 2-4% increase makes sense and is to be expected from most or any brand. The 20-25% increases are more surprising and I think more difficult to swallow especially when they are placed on the entry type items. Particularly, when the quality doesn’t seem correspond with the price point any longer.

However, I understand why they’d make those moves. I just do wonder for all these luxury brands, if perhaps they will get to a point where they may alienate enough of their customer base that the rapid and significant increases may have the opposite effect to what they believe. I don’t know. I don’t buy LV or premier brand bags for the most part. I stick to SLGs. So perhaps there will always been a thriving customer base despite the prices.

I think some people may get turned off by the recent price increases, but for the most part, people will just keep paying the price for what they want... it’s all part of supply and demand, and there is a huge demand for luxury goods. I remember buying my 2 speeds for less than 600$ and my neverfull for around 700$. Despite the price increases, I am still a loyal customer and thrilled to have purchased certain items at the low prices from years ago.

I agree here. I also think people are already getting desensitization to the prices. I've seen opinions that $270 is still reasonable for the key pouch, because other brands sell card holders for just as much, for instance. I think mostly the majority upset because the increase is so "fresh" and prices were lower JUST few days ago. In a few months however...

problem is because of these constant price increases, even vintage pieces on ebay are sold for high mark up. i have seen used key pouches going over current retail.

Really? That’s excessive. Well it appears this last increase was confined to canvas items. Perhaps the next one will be leather.

The prices for keepalls seem to have remained the same in the US. Not sure about other countries.

I bought the Keepall (Bandouliere 55 monogram eclipse) I have been eyeing for years just in case . I honestly can't believe I was able to get it! It was out of stock for months and months and I happened to check the site and it was in stock. I purchased and its out of stock again. I was not planning on making this purchase but I have wanted this bag for years and I know I would be kicking myself if it went up in price before it came back in stock again.

on the site it seems like the $1990 is the new (exposed) zipper while $2120 is the old design. apparently the $2120 is a glitch on the website (its not supposed to be that much and also not supposedly selling the old design)

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but....I need and opinion: Do you think the Speedy 30 B Mono is worth the investment of $1680 with the new price increase? I’m lacking this bag in my collection. I have the 25 but my daughter has seemed to take it over. Or should I invest in something leather and colorful?
