So i did end up being a sucker and go in to get my Celmence wallet.. Currently it's $660 CAD. With our tax it was $730. On one hand I'm kicking myself not getting it when it was around $550. But on other hand it seems like it wasn't one of the pieces that went up on the prices.

I think this is part of LVMH strategy. during 2020-middle-of-pandemic-first-price-increase, it was rumoured that they hired analyst to figure out that they are expecting lower than average sales for 2021. Which was the driving point on their price increases in preparation for the lower sales numbers. When they announced internal memos that gets leaked to consumers about pending price increases, there are flurry of buying activities. And this have been true for years prior to Covid. The reason why I think this is strategy? When I stopped by the store today, they had pretty much majority of hard to find items. Card holders, T19, T26 to mention few. But I also heard that someone else saw nano noe. Day before they had agenda gm. I feel like the store prepared for it and stocked up items for sales.

I still love the wallet and for me it's at the maximum tolerance level that I would pay for.. but with new prices PA is over $1000. Key pouch is $310 plus 12% tax. Yeah.. beyond reasonability.

You’re on to something, they really did purposefully stock up on those hard to find items. An SA from Neiman Marcus told Me that one store had 40+ mini pa and another store had 20. I was able to buy one and the SA who helped me with the purchase said “yes it’s so strange, not sure why we have so many”.

I mean it makes sense that they do this.. but the manipulation...

Seeing the price increase on my wishlist items now (prices in CAD):
Neonoe - $2190 to $2220
Speedy B 25 - $1970 to $2020

Not bad, but it’s crazy that a speedy is over 2k now.

I didn’t realize they’d gone up so much. I’ve had mine (B25) for probably 8-9 years and I’m sure i paid not Too much more than $1100 or thereabouts. Insane
