But if you exchange it for a different item (if faulty), the new price will stand. Or so I found! My speedy B had an issue and had increased in price in the interim. When I exchanged it for the neonoe, they gave me the value of the speedy b on that date. If that makes sense!

i think it depends !! i spoke to my CA today (who also confirmed price increase) about my palm springs mini backpack i’ve been holding onto to exchange for another one that comes in with better alignment (and other issues the PSM has been having), she said if i exchange (even though its the same exact item) i would have to pay the difference. so i suppose it depends on what exactly the “fault/issue” is with the bag.
