In europe it went up €100(Previously €1500 - Now €1600 & this time last yr i believe it was €1390)

So here’s my thing. Yes, I agree that there have been many many large price increases in a very short period of time and that the timing with what’s happening in the world may be in poor taste. But the fact remains that if you look at other luxury brands such as Gucci, Fendi, Valentino, ... and compare their prices to the LV slg models that have recently gone up, LV is still cheaper! Yes, the key pouch is now 320$ CAD, but if you look at the Gucci website, their version of the key pouch is 400 CAD. If you look at a Fendi or Gucci basic pochette style that would be comparable to the LV PA, the other brands are priced higher.
Only LV, Chanel and Hermès are brands that have “classic” pieces that have been around and available for purchase for generations, all these other brands do not. The other brands have the advantage of changing their styles and canvases seasonally, so this way they can price an item as they want and you don’t really notice the price increase.
Yes, price increases suck, but I expect to pay more for LV canvas and leather compared to other brands (except CC & H)

I remember the Speedy B25 being $600 back in 2011. I'm still kicking myself for buying it and then returning it for a Popincourt. Not sure I'm willing to pay $2K for it now.

Man I bought a key pouch in DG and a mini pochette in Mono before the price increase. Ended up saving 125!
I am sooooo glad I was able to snatch a PA back in December. From $630 to $790 is just insane to me. I knew this would happen, the item is just too popular. Also, ever since they recategorized it as a handbag (it’s no longer an slg), I felt they would at some point push it closer to the 4 digit price point.

I was lucky enough to be able to snag a Mono Key Pouch last night before the increase. Now I am officially DONE with my LV collection. It's not the prices themselves that are off-putting for me, as they are still fairly comparable with other luxury brands. It's the constant deluge of increases when the memory of what was is so clear and fresh!
I cannot mentally justify spending $270 here on out for a key pouch, for example, knowing full well that I paid $205 a mere year ago for the one I already have! Same goes for the Mini Pochette, PA, and TP15, among other items--so thankful to have locked those down in 2019. I feel awful for the many who have been trying to get HTF pieces while prices continue to increase all too regularly. I wish everyone the best in all your purchase endeavors!

I just bought this at the beginning of the week on a whim. So glad I did! That's a ridiculous price increase. Was thinking about returning it, but now I might just keep it for investment's sake.
