To hell with LV! They are out of their minds to increase their prices during this current economic climate! Yes I can still afford the items but out of principle I am not supporting this 'idgaf about the consumers attitude!'

4 price increases in one year!? Consumers don't get pay increases 4 times in one year! And don't even get me started on the fact that half the items aren't ever in stock!!!

Moving forward, I'm shopping Gucci!

SO my SD just said that the price increases are

"Unfortunately costs are rising due to decreased production with the meat industry and the closed plants—skins are tied to meat consumption/production."

I am in SHOCK over this price increase!! OK I am not really into the purses/bags, so I realize I am a bit of a weirdo here......But I do collect hard side cases. There's something about a stack of LV suitcases that makes my heart palpitate ....Sorry I digress..... I am reading about how fierce the price increases are on the bags, 20% up for the year on some (or more) But I couldn't believe that the cost of a boite bouteilles (cosmetic hard travel trunk) went from 5ish K to $8600??!! WTH?? Do they never want to sell another? Are they gold plated now? Anyhoo I haven't been here for years, but I had to read what y'all thought about this one during this time frame. It is NUTS!!! V

I bought the Nice mini just before xmas 2019 for 700 and it is now 945. That is a 35% increase in approx. 5 months.

Tacky AF and hearing about Chanel makes my blood boil. These designers are really squeezing my hard earned cash. I wanted another SLG and shoes from LV. Guess what? I don't NEED it, like air, good health, a roof over my head and a home. I don't care to buy another item from the store with this non sense. If the resellers don't come down on the price gouging - they can jump in a lake. Sorry, not sorry for the rant.

Some re-sellers really are greedy with pricing. I saw a popular reseller selling a bag that was not in new condition for more money than one could buy the bag for new. I went to LV to check online and the bag was still available to buy straight from them for cheaper. How ridiculous?

It’s okay, I think a lot of us understand your frustration. It’s just wrong because I bet their profit margins have been through the roof for years and after only a couple months of shutdown they are doing this like they are strapped for cash? If we are encouraged to save for rainy days, do should they.

Financially the LVMH took a hit, but they're OK. I supported the company and placed a Sephora order recently. :smile:

If part of proceeds are going towards Covid 19 fund to help those suffering or front-line workers.. then I would be OK with it. "The Pope of Fashion" and his shareholders are doing just fine.

In that case i would be ok waiting it out to make a purchase, transparency is better than making a quick buck and a dissatisfied customer base. Affordability is not an issue but like a PP said its a matter of principle....so annoyed.
