I read an article last night that the price increase totaled 18% last year with three increases. The author said watch for all the other countries and that's a def signal it will go up in the U.S. also. He said Louis Vuitton is very worried about "exclusivity" and has to go higher. They don't want every secretary in China carrying their bag. That was his exact phrase. You can find the article if you type in LV Asian Luxury Goods.

How & where did you find out about the price increase? I had no idea. I came to LV today to exchange an item for a credit but changed my mind after sawing the price increase.

They always say "We don't know" but then there was so much talk about the increase so I decided to pull the plug with this bag and a couple of SLGs.. Too bad I couldn't buy everything I wanted

that's right! I saw a price comparison for Chanel classic flap on purse forum (or brag my bag) and they show with conversion rates etc, and it is cheaper to buy in Canada than US. The cheapest however is Great Britain..

While I was putting the order in via the phone the SA didn't mention low stock or anything! He just said "sure I can order that for you!" so I was really shocked. He said there was a huge wait list on the round coin purse though. (which I don't need at all because I don't use coins but it's SO cute)

they sound like our government workers - you call them for info, and you never get what you want as different people give you a different answer............sigh..........I love my job I love my job I love my job ...........
