Louis Vuitton Pocket Holder for Boyfriend

Hi all,

I am getting my boyfriend a new wallet for his birthday - his current Burberry one's edge is peeling and canvas cracked a little.

I am deciding between these 3, do you think men would like the LV Emblem if I were to get the Taiga leather or would it be too feminine?

Also what is the difference between Taiga and Taurillon Leather?

I love taurillon leather, especially the embossed monogram version. I believe they now make it in the pocket organizer and in black. Taiga leather is ok. It’s a corrected top grain leather that is embossed. Taurillon leather is a full grain (higher quality) cowhide leather. Supple, yet durable. Plus it smells delicious!

I love taurillon leather, especially the embossed monogram version. I believe they now make it in the pocket organizer and in black. Taiga leather is ok. So Taurillon is more supple/softer? I'll go check it out in person to make the purchase but is it worth the extra $200? He often put his bi-fold in his back pocket, resulting in edge tearing - and that bothered him the most. I'm assuming that the switching work/craftsmanship into this will be the same regardless of leather.

3. well, I wouldn't recommend this one. This is very new, I don't know how the metal part will hold up. Going in and out of a pocket several times a day... And secondly — but this is personal — Vuitton leathers are so elegant with those discretely embossed logos. When I first saw this last year, it felt cheap, like some Tommy Hilfiger wallet.

I cannot get any LV higher end leather piece in Beverly Center. I was told to always go to Beverly Hills. Kinda shame to make things too exclusive. Like I don't have time to go all over to find something particular!

I went to the store 2 check out all of them. I ended up purchasing the Taurillon Leather and the 5th ave store had both:

I think the first plain one is more professional and suitable to him, but if I'm spending this much on a wallet, should I just exchange for the monogram? The monogram is new season under Virgil's directorship.

He will take good care of the new wallet and only place in his chest pocket, but I am worried that wallet will end up being deformed like this resale:

I'm not a big fan of Taiga leather in Pocket Organizer. I don't think you should skip out the Taurillon leather.

Yeah the Taurillon leather is a lot softer and feels nicer. Although it feels a lot less structured, if he takes care of it, it should be okay. Boyfriend currently still wears the pair of glasses I got him 4 years ago so I think they'll get its worth.

The pocket organizer is a bit small IMO. I have just switched from my slender taiga bifold wallet to monogram eclipse pocket organizer and I find it inconvenient to put my money bills in this small wallet. I have to fold the bills in order to fit put in 1 of the pockets.

If it will be kept in a tight back pocket, even Épi or Taïga leather would bend like that one. But if kept in a bag, Pochette or jacket, it will be fine.
The classic version is more professional, very classy. I am not at all against the Monogram version either. If I were you, I would gift him the classic one, and then tell him about the other version and see which one he likes more. So when you go back together to get it hot stamped, you can exchange it, if he likes that more.
