I think the never full is the most iconic tote and most imitated and not by counterfeiters but imitated by brands like MK, doney and Burke etc.

Honestly, OP, I do not care for the mono for myself, but I like it on other people. (Some bags, that is. There is one piece, cannot remember what it's called, that looks like a vagina. A big vagina with a handle and LVs all over it). Somehow, still, I have 2 mono pieces and I do use them. And I feel funny about it. And I get over it.
I love DA (don't own) and DE (do own) and other leathers (have owned, have sold, do own, will own more).
And I totally get the vachetta issue. I LOVE it, but no the mono on myself. Augh!
Bottom line, I hear ya. I know you meant no harm. I hope you've enjoyed the bag. I love the combo and have nothing with that wonderful pink interior. Great choice!
