Some date codes do not follow the WYWY format. I have one bag bought last year from Louis Vuitton that has an odd datecode.

Just bought a LV Alma GM in Vernis. I can''t find date code anywhere. I saw someone posted a video on YouTube, his has a date code on a piece of white leather sewn to the bag at inside of a pocket. I looked through mine. I can't find nothing. I read that LV embossed date code on Vernis. I have one Vernis bag and it was embossed on the leather inside the bag. But this Alma bag has fabric interior. Can it possibly embossed on the fabric? Is it fake?
The exterior of the bag is very neat. The logo embossed are very symmetric on front to back and side to side. It is very well stitched and Hardware has weight on it. It looks like real thing to me. But is it? Because no date code then it is fake for sure?
Can the expert please advise?

What colour and year is the bag please? LV did go through a phase of embossing datecodes into the actual fabric of the lining of the internal pocket and they are pretty impossible to read and do wear. So to be absolutely sure then you need to have the bag authenticated. Hope that helps.
Which parts of the photos you need? Exterior or interior?

I don't know what year. But it is like the colour you have posted on your previous thread. I have posted few photos on the thread. Please have a look. I will ask for authentication on this website but just want to know if I can find the date code first. Thank you very much for your help.
If it is embossed then they are usually on the loose side of the pocket (not the side against the bag) and "written" horizontally near the top along one side. They are very tricky to spot like this as opposed to being on a tag inside the pocket.

I posted a picture at the bottom of that page with where to find the embossed datecode on an epi piece - if it is embossed on your Alma it will be in roughly the same place. But they are hard to find. Think the other poster ended up using an LED light she said.
