Louis Vuitton Mini Bumbag

I received my monogram mini bum bag today. If only they had done some quality control on it! Like @wildwest81, I love this little bag. It fits all I need (including my promax14 with case @LVlvoe_bug), zipper is perfectly smooth, chain is great, I have lots of straps that will work. But it could not be more crooked and look worse than if someone tried on purpose to screw it up!! I attached several pics, I’m now boxing it up and going to UPS directly for a refund.

Now I just have to decide if it’s worth the risk on one of the blue and yellow leather ones. I’m pretty sure that’s the one I would prefer. I do get tired of quality issues as I know we all do. I wish Louis Vuitton would actually do what they say they do and check their products carefully before they send them out the door!! If I had tried this on in the Boutique, I would’ve laughed and not walked out with it. It not only looks crooked, but it is also truly crooked. It’s a 1/4 inch off at the top, it appears the zipper wasn’t sewn in evenly so it will never straighten out.

I guess in summary, the blue and yellow one is a strong maybe 🙄 I might have kept this one too had it been perfect, especially as it is $600 less than the blue one. And @wildwest81, your little bag is perfect in every way so it seems they can do it right!! Oh well. I figured I had a 50/50 shot!!

Super frustrating for sure! I am not near a store either and debated having them send it to me but I would feel bad if I didn’t keep it. I kind of put that pressure on myself which is sort of why I didn’t like going in the store. Thank you for all your help and information. I hope the other bumbag works better for you!

Thank you. I know - I hate buying something from an SA and returning it, but for quality issues we have to, and they get it. It’s important you be happy with what you buy! I hope the LE Bumbag will be better, it seems they often get MIF or Italy. Hopefully you will find something you love.

Thanks so much. I just think QC is almost non-existent, especially on “permanent collections”. My theory is this bag might get sent out until someone keeps it. Hopefully not, but who knows. I’ve noticed my limited edition pieces almost always are much better quality, as are my leather pieces, especially if it’s a collab with an outside artist.

And yes, I believe the blue and yellow LE mini bumbag I will at least consider! I’m going to wait until closer to drop, as it’s not coming out until 5/17 and I don’t want to send them money until it’s close to shipment time. But I’m with you, it’s a great little bag and suits me perfectly. Worst case I might try or not have a chance to get the blue/yellow one, but if that doesn’t work I’ll contact an in store SA, have them send me photos/video of a monogram one (they are available in almost every boutique) to purchase. But thanks for the empathy, and happy Friday!!! 🌺

I got her!!! Have used the chain with the bag to make the strap longer so I can wear crossbody and temporarily using a chain from a Vivienne Westwood purse which coincidentally is the same length as the LV one.

I’m obsessed! I wore her to a wedding at the weekend and didn’t need to worry about losing anything (ok it just had a lipstick and cards in).

I just had to update everyone - my wonky mini bumbag got dropped to UPS a week ago Wednesday. That thing floated around, finally ended up in NJ, and they promptly ripped off my label and shipped the thing back to me!🙄 Why I do not know. I had to open it to make sure it was still in the box, but got it sorted and it should finally get accepted for return today. That little bag was doomed in every way 😆 At least I see it on the delivery vehicle in Edison NJ through UPS so hopefully it stays out.

On a happier note, I’m fairly certain I’m going to try the blue and yellow collab mini bum. Waiting isn’t my strong suit, but wait I must. Happy Thursday all!
