late post.. finally got the “perfect” Dauphine MM after hunting for two months.
Congratulations! May I know what “perfection” should I look for in this bag as I have it myself?
Well, I ordered it two times online where I feel like it was obviously returned and used (no sticker intact and faint scratches on hardware). I had to go in the store to exchange it but the only one they had was also not perfect, there was a slight issue with the buckle area not completely painted! So my SA told me he would have to order one for me and have it examined before I come in to pick it up. I patiently waited.. the entire process too over two months, but it’s totally worth the wait!Congratulations! May I know what “perfection” should I look for in this bag as I have it myself?
Hey all, I am considering buying the Dauphine mini. At first I was interested in the Epi black because of the chain but they didn’t have instore so I tried the reverse mono and my only complaint was I feel like it’s missing the chain all the others have. Do any of the lucky owners of the mini add a chain? If so where did you get from. Any thoughts on this would be welcomed. I haven’t seen the epi irl yet so may end up changing my mind. Thanks

I tried on both the epi black and mini dauphine in store about a month ago. I think the mini dauphine is sooo much prettier. You can easily unhook the strap and change it to a chain strap. Not sure if Louis vuitton sells one though? There was something about how stiff and bulky the black epi dauphine was that made it just not seem as nice (to me).
I ended up getting the empreinte Pochette Metis in Noir instead but I tried on alot of bags. I thought the Dauphine would definitely be the one but you really need to try them on in the store. I also thought the Pont 9 bag was beautiful but I have kids and worry about scratching it easily. Have you seen the interior of the Pont 9? sorry to sidetrack but the epi dauphine is about the same price point.
Hey thanks so much for the reply, I thought the same thing about Pont 9, I too have young kids and I don’t have too much time to worry if my toddler will pull the bag off the bench. The bag does look lovely on you. Yes I’ll be in this week hopefully and compare the two.
