I don't live near a store so am thinking about ordering a pair online and have read they size small but not sure how small? I am typically a 40.5 in Chanel 40 in Hermes 40 in Tods. I am thinking 40.5 but not sure how small they run? Also will these look horrid on larger feet? I can't tell if I'm better off sticking to Tod's for loafers

I wear a size 39 in Chanel and Hermes but wear a size 38.5 in the Loro Piana Summer Charms loafer. I find they run large. They are so comfortable right out of the box and are quite elegant for a loafer.

The insole length of my size 39 Summer Charms is 26 cm (10.23') if this helps. I would say they run large and regret not buying a smaller size.
