Sad news to share.. I was at the store today and my pretty Loop Hobo bag was deemed as defective :crybaby: it started to have some permanent bumpy crease lines on the canvas. I am still torn whether to exchange it for the same model cos I love the style so much, or get a totally different bag. I can't decide on the spot so my SA suggested that I think through carefully first then I will come back once decided.

TPF friends, what would you do if you were in my shoes? Take the risk to exchange for the same model? Or be safe and get a different model altogether? The bag sitting in my wishlist for the longest time is the Odeon tote pm. Nothing exciting but I think it's a practical bag. So confused!

Oh no! I would get a different bag because I would be watching the new one waiting for it to happen again. Now I have to go inspect mine. I just put it away after only carrying it for about 45 days.
Thanks!! Good point and that feeling is so familiar to me! Similar thing happened with my boulogne last year that's why I asked my SA if it's possibly have something to do with the way I store bags etc, cos it's so unlucky to have something similar happen twice. They couldn't think of a reason how I could have possibly caused it as I store all my bags the same way - inside a dustbag, upright, stuffed with purse organizer, in a closet solely for bags and with humidity control. I have many canvas bags and they're all fine except for these 2. So the canvas used could have just really been a dud.

My replacement boulogne is still fine after a year but you're right, I constantly look at it to see if its starting to happen again. Thank goodness it hasn't!

Wow, bummer. Sounds like 2 duds. I'm naturally anxious and I know that would make me crazy. It's beautiful bag but nothing is worth your peace so start over and now I'm thinking we'll be hearing more of these issues starting to arise. Sigh.

That’s really strange. I wonder how that vertical lines can happen. Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks for posting this, i need to check mine and keep an eye on the bag to see if this develops. So far nothing, but i have not used the bag much yet
That is so odd how the lines are vertical. I would have expected indents from the bending or folding.
Agree with your reactions here.. Strange, weird, odd! I wish I (or they - LV) knew what caused this so I could prevent it from happening again. I have a lot of canvas bags so if ever I caused this, I don't want to do it with my other bags too! :crybaby: :crybaby::crybaby:

I'm sure you didn't do anything that caused those lines. I haven't seen this before in any of my other canvas bags. It was probably the canvas itself.
