Longines or Rolex?

R O L E X- have a similar one, but without the diamonds and a different band, otherwise the same- white pearl face? Anyway, I LOVE my watch!!

I think it depends whether you are after a dress watch or a simple go-with-everything watch? Unless it's for everyday use, I would choose the Longines w diamonds (it's gorgeous and definitely timeless too IMO) over the plain Rolex.

Nevertheless, a Rolex with diamond bezel is my dream watch :greengrin:

Go with the rolex, I have the exact one in question. If you get bored with it you can always change the features. Rolex is way better in my opinion. Have you seen the Chanel J12? It also has the stones around it like the Longines, if you want the bling. Check it out

Rolex hands down. Simple and classic. It will also hold its value more.

Personally I think the longines is absolutely beautifull, I like the style of the face compared to the rolex.

I like the Lognines better... it actually looks like my Movado... the band is nearly identical... the diamonds around the bezel too... but I don't have diamonds in my face... just the simple black museum dial. I wear my watch every day, and I wouldn't be afraid to if I had those watches either.

Rolex, for sure. I am not familiar with watches, but I had a friend who has a 15 years old Longines that can't be fixed no matter how many times he has it in the repair shop. Maybe overall Longines has good quality and my friend had the "one off" bad watch.

Also, with a Rolex you can change the face for a "new look" if you want. I used to have a gold face, but switched to one with a white face with gold roman numbering. If you want, you could also switch to a face with diamonds. I am not sure if you can also change the bezel, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could.

Rolex is much more expensive, but I think in the end you won't regret it.

So Raspberry, what did you choose in the end? I would have said the Longines myself, though I'm a Rolex owner, but Longines is a great watch, too.
