Longchamp Spring Summer 2019

While I understand Longchamp is trying to keep things fresh and attract younger customers, they've just really lost their way IMO. I'm craving understated French elegance and beautiful, chic, simple designs, but SS19 is overloaded with loud obnoxious styles. Each season more and more energy is wasted on ugly, busy bags destined for the 50% off clearance rack.

Could not agree more... sadly...

Someone needs to talk some sense into Longchamp. This stuff is ridiculous.
Thank you for posting them. I can imagine your frustration. I can't fathom the designs. Colors, materials, designs... I don't wish to say this of one of my favourite brands and I am hardly extreme but some of them are beyond ugly. Please, only this one season. [emoji25]

[emoji38] I don't mean to be rude. The press actually loves them?! Oh my... okay, that explains why I am not trendy. [emoji28]

I saw quite a few pics and videos of bloggers and IG “influencers” stomping around in those furry shoes but I have to imagine it had more to do with the novelty/weirdness factor rather than actual admiration.

I agree with you. It is all for the sake of looking cool on social media nowadays.

Right that’s exactly the problem IMO. Longchamp has gotten too caught up in designing runway-style bags that grab attention on instagram. In the process what is dwindling in their collection are the quietly chic wearable bags that the average woman might see as useful additions to their wardrobe.

Exactly. I'm disappointed to say that this is also happening to my other favourite brand that is phasing out classic silhouettes in favour of styles which are not wearable for day to day.

So sad because I think they have beautiful colors but the ugly designs that they are stamping on them?? These bags would be so beautiful if LC stuck to their aesthetic :'(

And being young myself, I tend to really like the re-branding of brands to be more fresh, but Longchamp is a huuuuuge miss for me. :(
