I have just got back. I was able to buy 2 CDC’s one black with ghw and one blue croc with rghw As well as a vase, 4 twillys and 2 throws. One cashmere in navy with boats and one with the carnets d’equateur leopard on it. The stock is plentiful and constantly replenished. However… the queues are insane I spent over 2 hours in the checkout line and almost gave up on the will to live. If you come whilst on lunch break from work etc.. don’t bother there are not enough people in the floor.
Moreover, I now know why the sale is being held and it’s blindingly obvious. Hermes can no longer ship items that are unsold back to Paris so this looks like it’s going to be a permanent thing possibly. Hopefully it’s run better next time.

May I ask for the prices of the vase and leopard throw?

Ok back home from the sale, just to clear a couple things up payment by Amex is allowed they just direct you to a different till, there were people using Amex to pay. There is no non-invite rock up and wait entry permitted you have to show the barcode for entry and also when you pay. That said very well organised lots of stock, there was a queue for the shoes and then a time limit imposed of 15 minutes so they could get the queue moving. That area is to the right when you enter the sale. To the left is RTW and then through the corridor are silks, jewellery, belts and hats and also where you pay. My slot was 9-12 and I arrived at around 08:30, there were already around 70 people queuing ahead of me. I didnt have to wait long and I entered the sale at 9:20 and exited at 10. I got 4 items, a large paperweight, beach tunic , Parero and a hat. I did ask if this is something they would continue and they said they would like to.

Things to note if your time slot is during the day get there early, don’t bother dressing up just wear something comfortable and sensible shoes as there is a little walk to the venue and you will be queuing. As mentioned before you will have to check in coats and bags into the cloakroom and they will give you a small clear pouch on a lanyard to put your phone and cards etc.
Thank you ! Very informative
I was finding it hard to work out from the map on the invite how one actually gets to the venue ( and I’m gal born and lived in Bayswater 20 years so Kensington gardens isn’t Exactly an unknown territory!) does one enter FROM Kensington gardens ) Kensington road entrance) OR does one enter from the road alongside Royal garden hotel which has the embassies and entrance to Kensington palace on?

Could anyone comment on stock for homeware, menswear and men’s shoes?

Homewares had a good selection of blankets (no Avalon) pillows, cushions (the rectangular floor like ones) picture frames, paperweights, trays, there was a wooden chessboard set, beach towels, beach bags, pouches the leather paperweights and speaker stands (the one you roll up and slot your phone in) baby toys (jigsaws) the little childrens back packs. Mens shoes were in abundance, dress, sandals like the Izmir and sneakers. There is a quota on how many pairs but as I didn’t stick around I can’t be certain. There was a lady in the queue that said 6 pairs but dont quote me on that! I didn’t look at menswear.

I parked in front of the park opposite the Milestone hotel (Kensington high street end) and walked in that entrance, it’s about a 5 min walk to the venue from there.

Thank you so much! That's really good to know.

The vase was £2970 store price £1485 at Kensington Palace. The leopard throw was £1990 store and £990 Kensington.
If anyone wants to know the CDC in croc bleu abysse was £1730 new and £865 there. The prices are amazing. The other CDC was box leather and was £920 down to £460. I hope this helps the sales are 50% to 70% off.

I arrived at 1pm to queue, left at 7:45pm. Queue was very very long to the tills, but make a friend and you can queue for each other while the other one browses. The silk section was definitely very chaotic, a lot of choices but sadly nothing I really liked... ended up with one scarf and two ties! Might go again, but this time I’d bring water and eat beforehand....

I have just come from the sale and while I was happy with what I got (scarves!), I think it could have been organised better. Outside of sample sales, this is my first “private” sale with any brand so maybe this is the norm and I just had wrong expectations.

My slot was 1:30-4:30. There was queue outside of the gate to the pavilion, maybe a half hour queue. Invitation and an ID were checked. Then another queue on the pavilion patio. This one took about 45 minutes. You have to check your coat and bag in. They give you a pouch for your valuables that you can bring inside.

The queue to pay was long! I initially thought there were 2 queues to the till because it was long and winding when I came in. I came for scarves, baby gifts, and tableware so I was relieved that all 3 were in the same section. However, this was also the section for the tills so I thought I had to queue as well. Luckily, I was able to ask staff and they said to just go right in the silks section. Max of 7 scarves per person. If I recall correctly, max of 2 for the 140cm.

No tableware the whole time I was inside. I got conflicting info from staff - 1 said no tableware at all, the other said they might have in the next days.

I spent about an hour in the scarves section then was going to head to the shoes (70% off!) but by this time the queue to pay was even longer than when I came in and I was supposed to meet some friends at 5pm so I skipped shoes. It took me 2 hours before I could pay. Luckily, the 2 ladies in front and behind me in the queue were lovely. We watched each other’s places in line so we could go off and explore the other areas. Oh my, it just occurred to me - they might be TPFers! I didn’t think to ask, probably cause I was hungry by this time  If they’re TPFers, hello hello!:heart:

So, expectation vs reality. My expectation was that the slots were going to be enforced, that I had only until the end of my slot time to shop. This could have reduced the queue esp at the tills. I honestly thought I would go in at 1:30 and be out by 3pm since I had specific items I wanted. Reality - I got out around 6:30pm. Was it worth it and would I go again if invited? Yes. The discounts on the items I wanted were huge so yay for steals! And next time at least I’ll be mentally prepared for the queueing
