So literally only phone is allowed to be carried in? What about keys, ID, cards etc?
phone, id, cc.. yes, you can carry those in your pockets or in a plastic pouch they provide.
saw people checking in wocs and large wallets as well.
Did you get any goodies?
Was there a good selection of twillies?
Also was there plenty of stock... did you see people refilling areas?
And what were the prices like?
Twillies sellection was one of the biggest.
Didn’t see any refilling but it was very crowded and I could have been distracted.

I have read that attendance is to both Hermes client list and the organisers subscriber list. Off tomorrow morning so fingers crossed
A dear friend went on the first day and kindly did proxy shopping for me as I am currently out of the country. She found the cashmere coat I liked and it was 70% off retail and I am doing the happy dance. Thank you!

I have just got back. I was able to buy 2 CDC’s one black with ghw and one blue croc with rghw As well as a vase, 4 twillys and 2 throws. One cashmere in navy with boats and one with the carnets d’equateur leopard on it. The stock is plentiful and constantly replenished. However… the queues are insane I spent over 2 hours in the checkout line and almost gave up on the will to live. If you come whilst on lunch break from work etc.. don’t bother there are not enough people in the floor.
Moreover, I now know why the sale is being held and it’s blindingly obvious. Hermes can no longer ship items that are unsold back to Paris so this looks like it’s going to be a permanent thing possibly. Hopefully it’s run better next time.

Ok back home from the sale, just to clear a couple things up payment by Amex is allowed they just direct you to a different till, there were people using Amex to pay. There is no non-invite rock up and wait entry permitted you have to show the barcode for entry and also when you pay. That said very well organised lots of stock, there was a queue for the shoes and then a time limit imposed of 15 minutes so they could get the queue moving. That area is to the right when you enter the sale. To the left is RTW and then through the corridor are silks, jewellery, belts and hats and also where you pay. My slot was 9-12 and I arrived at around 08:30, there were already around 70 people queuing ahead of me. I didnt have to wait long and I entered the sale at 9:20 and exited at 10. I got 4 items, a large paperweight, beach tunic , Parero and a hat. I did ask if this is something they would continue and they said they would like to.
Things to note if your time slot is during the day get there early, don’t bother dressing up just wear something comfortable and sensible shoes as there is a little walk to the venue and you will be queuing. As mentioned before you will have to check in coats and bags into the cloakroom and they will give you a small clear pouch on a lanyard to put your phone and cards etc.
