Ooh, I love LK Bennett shoes :D

I've not had much of an issue with the sizing being too big or too small . I'm a 38 in LK Bennett, and all of the other shoes I own. I've found the sizes to be fairly consistent across all of the styles, especially for heels and sandals. I've found that flat pumps come up a little bit big sometimes, but not as much as half a size. Only one pair of my heels is a tiny bit big (again, not as much as half a size), but they are quite old now.

Certainly my Sledge in a 38 comes up the same size as all my other 38s. Sledge also has a little tiny rubber grippy strip thing in the back to help them stay on as well as they are quite high. I don't have Maddox so can't comment on those.

If you can't get hold of Sledge, Shilo are really lovely as well, just without the platform - I think they also come in taupe.

Actually, if you live in the states, it is much cheaper to order from a US store than from the UK website. I was going to order the Maddox wedge this morning from the online store (and ship to the USA) but decided to call the Chicago store and get a price quote from them. Online, the shoes are £165 and international shipping is £45, bringing the total to £210, which is approximately $344 USD. The Chicago store had the shoe for $265 and shipping was a flat $15, bringing the total to $280! So, I saved $64 by ordering from a US store over the phone! Hurrah!:yahoo:

After reading this I gave it shot and called the Chicago store. I was looking for the Sledge Court in Grey. They didn't have it so I called the Atlanta store. They had them! They are $325 and shipping is only $13! I didn't save as much as you, about $10 probably, but at least the shoes and I are on the same continent! :D

Thanks!!

They sell for £165, according to the LK Bennett website. :smile1:

You're very welcome! :flowers:

I haven't ordered from LK Bennett, but I did find a chart of their shipping costs on their website. :smile1: Shipping costs for the USA is £45.00: http://www.lkbennett.com/deliveryinformation.

I have put half insoles. They are just a bit bigger then I would have wanted.

I recently bought my first pair of L.K. Bennett shoes (the Anna) while visiting the UK this summer and I have to say -- they're so comfortable! I love them so much!

Hello all, I know this is coming a bit late, just had the chance to upload the pictures. Thanks to all who helped, buying online is always a tricky business so your experiences helped me a lot.

I'm normally a 6.5 - 7.0 in size - got the 37 - they are just right. maybe because I normally like a tiny bit of space in my shoes anyway - otherwise they tend to pinch my toes.

At 3.5 inches, these are a bit higher vs. what I normally wear. I don't think i can run walking errands in these shoes. but for a normal office day where you don't have to walk a lot, they are ok.

and for others contemplating... bloomingdales lk bennett currently offering 20% off up to nov. 13, for all lk bennett styles - i believe. if interested, i can PM the SA who helped me, or just call up bloomingdales (atlanta or chicago).

enjoy.

cheers.

I bought the Shilo in Light Taupe from Heathrow Airport in London. For me, they run true to size. They are 90 mm in heel height and kind of hard to walk in. I am getting used to them. I did put some shoe pads right under the edge of the top of the shoe because they were kind of digging into my foot.

I got the famous Sledge in Taupe while I was in Ireland last week. I tried to find them in Lindon but we were so busy with the games. I think I did better with the Euro than the pound so score one for me!

I bought a pair of sledges when they first arrived in US stores and had them shipped to me bc no stores that carry them are near my home. I ordered a half size up and they fit but I was really disappointed with the quality. There was almost like a plastic film on the bottom that was peeling off and they looked poorly made. I tried to contact customer service (Bloomies - my least fav) for an exchange but they really weren't helpful so I sent them back. I was pretty bummed because they are reasonably priced and if they're fit for a princess then I thought they'd be perfect. Maybe it was just one bum pair... The next time I can try them on in a store, I will.

The film is just protection for the sole/when people try on. You peel it off before wearing. My SA took a lot of time explaining that to me because a lot of people thought the film was supposed to stay on the shoe post-purchase. I would not have known so I'm glad she explained.

Thanks but I should have clarified. The "protective film" actually destroyed (slight exaggeration) the sole beneath. When I attempted to gently remove it, it left a less than desirable look for a "new" shoe. I want to break them in myself! :) Since the shoe itself is polished, I wanted the soles to match. I took pictures and sent them to the store and they couldn't explain the situation or track down my size to replace them. So until I can hold the shoe in my hand and observe every nook and cranny, I'll refrain from buying. It must have been a bad pair. Sounds like everyone else loves them.
