LK Bennett Shoes (a favorite of Kate Middleton)

I just bought 2 pairs of the Sledge style, black and taupe. Since both colors are in the signature collection they rarely go on sale and when they do my sizes are quick to sell out. I already have a pair in rose gold, looking forward to adding these timeless colors to my collection! :smile1:

Just purchased my first pair of L.K. Bennett boots from their U.S. site and ended up with a pair which looks like a return or someone tried them on and walked around on carpet for quite a while. The boots have visable creases in the leather at the instep and the ankle on both boots.

Is this standard to get a pair in this condition from their sale section? Purchased for 50% off and then another 10% off.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

You could try emailing them.

I received a pair of heels that had visible foot prints inside the shoe. The soles were also nicked. I took photos and emailed it to customer services. they apologised only but I wrote another email firmly to ask what were they going to do with the defective shoe. They gave me £10 to fix the soles.

Side question. Anyone having trouble purchasing from their new webpage? Ever since they had a site revamp last year, I havent been able to purchase online. When I try to checkout, they ask me to log in. When I log in, my cart gets emptied. So I add the items and try to checkout but get told to log in again. The whole damn process repeats itself. I complain to customer service and get told it is working on solving problems and tell me to call customer services to order but I refuse to call long distance,

I haven't ordered from them in a while, so I haven't tried. But maybe it helps to try a different browser? I often get issues with online shopping using Chrome that are gone using Firefox :shrugs:

Thanks sophiac for the suggestion and your results with a problem. I really appreciate it! While I like the product, I have found they seem a bit funny when a customer brings up an issue to a customer service rep. or a SA.

While this may not be a lot of money for some people, I spent almost $800.00 (all on sale), on three pairs (2 pr. of shoes and 1 pr. of boots. I ended up with $30.00 in shipping. Sure miss free shipping the way Amazon gives you free shipping for very little money spent with the company.

With that being said, anyone interested in purchasing from L.K. BENNETT, THEY ARE HAVING A 20% OFF SALE, until this sunday in honor of Mothers Day. The sale started this past wednesday on 5-7-2014. I was told things are selling quickly and this is one of the sales which includes their Signature line (I think this is what it is called).

Hope the info helps someone save a few dollars, in case they haven't checked the site and discovered the sale. Promo code at checkout is SHOE20. The sale applies to phone orders at their stores. Customer service tracked down the style, size and color I wanted and the SA at one of the midwest stores called me so I could place my order.

Happy Mother's Day to the hard working mommy group!

Hi

no problems...i hope they fix the problem for you... and yes, they do get ansty with you when you tell them off for their mistakes. I once told them for for sending me a belt that was label 'red' (and in a bright fiery red colour) when i ordered the belt online that was label 'dark red' and described as dark red. they promised to refund my shipping costs but not the shipping costs that I incurred in sending back an item that was sent wrongly! and that wasnt the first time they made mistakes...

would like to know how you managed to get customer service to track down the item you wanted? am desperatedly looking for the lily crystal mini envelop clutch in gold and when I emailed them, I was told that for international customers, i can only purchase what's online on their website. they do not help to track down items in their stores to sell to international customers... :nogood:

Hi!

Sophiac, looked at my info from a pair of boots I purchased from the U.S. warehouse. On the bottom it stated, "...If you would still like to order the unavailable item, we would be delighted to try and source it in one of our stores. Please contact the Customer Service Team on 866-480-9600 for further assistance."

I wonder if they did a search for me in their U.S. stores, but are not willing to do an international search for your clutch.

Just an aside about L.K. Bennett. While I have been lucky with the people I have contacted via phone and email, I have wondered about company policy at times. (i.e. Are employees able to have any flexability when working with customers?) I ordered two pairs of shoes, but ended up with three. I looked everywhere and only found a receipt for 2 pairs. I called immediately to let them know what had happened. My delivery is late, so it was 7:00pm. Went out to UPS and used the return mailer to send the pair back the next morning.

The point I am trying to make, is in this situation, I took time from my day and L.K. Bennett did not seem to notice. Could they have offered me a FREE $10.00 worth of shipping, on my next purchase, for my time?

Does anyone know why the inner wall of their shoes (where the shoe lining touches the back of your ankles) come with this open stitching? It's bloody painful, causing blisters and I have had to paste foot petals over them to wear them.
