My dad has had his dose cut back to 1/4 because of shortagesI feel bad for the diabetics who have had to deal with shortages of these drugs due to all the people don’t need it for health reasons using it for quick weight loss.

She's not "Kate Moss Thin"--yet. Her journey will be interesting.RE: Body Positivity... I feel like she isn’t being disingenuous about it by losing weight. She was very heavy before and it’s not like she’s Kate Moss thin now. She’s still a curvy woman and she can still promote the message. You can still be thick and fit/healthy.
What I’d like to see her do is be a little transparent about her motivation. While she doesn’t owe any explanations, she should feel compelled to talk about what motivated her and use it as a call to action.
I have no problem with people being proud of how they look, whatever their size. But surely at her original weight she was looking at potential health issues if she stayed there. She is in a position to encourage people to consider how their weight and lifestyle might impact their health now and in the future and how to improve their position.

Adam Lampert said he couldn't handle the side effects with OZ and switched to Mounjaro and he's super skinny now.
But again, is this for life? Will Lizzo always be injecting or do they have to go off after a while, like Actonel for Osteoporosis. Can't stay on it without a break.
Exactly, clinical trials for the treatment of diabetes with semaglutides ran from 2016 to 2017 but it wasn’t approved by the FDA for weight loss alone until 2021. As with all drugs, you take on a certain level of risk.Seems so long as you’re not suffering any major side effects, you can be on it as long as you like. That said, it’s a new drug and, despite all the positive press about it, there’s no way of knowing if there are ramifications for long-term use.
I just don’t see any issues with the use of these drugs for weight loss, other than creating shortages for those who need the medications for more serious health conditions. I don’t think anyone owes any explanation as to how they lose weight. Do we get up in arms about Botox, fillers, plastic surgery, Invisalign, or any other procedure or treatment that we use to change or improve our health or appearance? Why do we treat these drugs and the use of them differently? Could it be that the stigma of excess weight is still shameful?
