Are you familiar with Lizzo’s stands?
Anyways…
Not sure what you mean by “stands”. You mean her support of being heavy and proud? Yes I am aware of that, but perhaps she decided it would help her to take off some weight. I don’t think she owes anyone an explanation…she is entitled to change her mind as much as you or me.

And I have a right to express my opinion as well.
I haven’t been scolded that way since 1995:lol:

I guess pharma might adjust their productions when it comes to cash cows.
They did but the demand for these drugs went up far faster than their increased production could keep up with. This year Novo Nordisk, the Danish company that makes Ozempic and Wegovy, bought up more land in North Carolina and they plan to spend over $4 billion to build more production facilities. This article says that when it’s completed the complex will be the size of 25 football fields and they will need to hire 1,000 additional employees.

Considering the number of Americans who are obese, it sounds like a win-win to me. They get a chance to be a healthier weight, thus reducing healthcare costs for things like heart surgeries and other weight-related illnesses, and it creates jobs for Americans.
I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to admit to using medically-assisted weight loss. Lizzo, Adele, Kelly Clarkson… Whether it people accusing others of “stealing” drugs from diabetics who need it (which as @Swanky wrote, it’s not insulin, and diabetics have a host of medications proven to lower blood sugar), thinking women are only using it to lose a few pounds - which is not the majority of users, and then there’s the scare tactics of ozempic face or ozempic butt. Whether you lose 70lbs in 12 months or 30 months, that fat is gone off your ass. It’s just more noticeable in a short period of time. It reminds me of Botox and filler, like no one can actually believe that you can get a subtle amount of both. The only option in their minds is a result looking like Taylor from RHOBH.

As for Lizzo, IDC how she lost weight, as long as she is healthier and happier. Hopefully her behavior won’t be as problematic as it was in the past.
