Little symbols on belt buckle and leather..

So.. call me a newbee but i was always wondering what the small symbols on the belts mean..

So on my gold brushed buckle there is written: Hermès followed up by a box with some symbol in it.. it could be a J or a V or something like this..

and then on the leather there is written..a box with an G in it and then the 90 for the size and then a single R

soo..

What does this stand for? Thank you!

The letter in a square refers to the year the item was made. The others, I'm not sure.

So is see my belt was produced in 2003. Thats right. So now's the question what the last letter means ^^.. could it be the sign of some craftsman?

Made in 2003, size 95, 'R' is probably the atelier it comes from, not necessarily the craftsman.
