Just a quick OT, to add on to @allanrvj, I will actually recommend Brussels (just a short train ride away from Paris). I went there instead of FSH and had such a wonderful experience. Ok, back to topic!
Also, they can try Sèvres and George V. I've heard people score Birkins from Sèvres and when I was in George V, a woman was being shown an orange Constance.
Yes first in line on side door. Long store short, all the linesitters, people that were buying places etc got in to a big argument and security decided to punish everyone at the side door buy not opening it until much later.

Really? I actually live close to Denmark and been to the Copenhagen store a few times but not been too impresed by the stock plus prices are higher than i france so tend to do my shopping there. Is the current one a franchise?
yes. the current one is a franchise and will close soon to make way for the flagship store in the area where Prada and LV are (right across the fountain). it will be bigger than the London flagship store in terms of floor area, and is directly owned by Hermès

Mixed feelings on this news. I doubt the retailers have access to the best technical/digital people (as evidenced by their sub-par shopping/showcase websites), so I don't have high hopes for a functional digital appointment system. The best digital/technical people must be working in more important segments of French business. I predict a new level of frustration when they roll out the new system in a year. I guess I will still plan my shopping trip but only to purchase fine jewelry if the prices are still better than in US.
This morning I was waiting at FSH again. There were a few group of people who were selling the spots. I think they are a large group of 15 Chinese. They are not only spots sellers, but resellers too. Because I heard them talking about buying watches and non-leather items to get a bag(Kelly/Birkin), after that they will sell the non-leather items in 30% discount. At the same time they keep asking everyone who just arrived the back of the queue if they want to join the front of the queue by paying 80 euros. They can accommodate more than 30 more people to join them! That's really disgusting!
That is horrible! Did you manage to get an appointment or they were all taken by the Chinese resellers? What time did you arrive this morning?

More than 30 people? but they are just 15 in the line, im guessing they are selling their spots to 2 people (1chinese spot - 2 customers)? That makes me very angry!
