Hello LPers. A friend of mine had a dylan med tote over the weekend and I totally fell in love with it. Since then I've ordered two LP bags. The zip tote in Iron and the dylan med in espresso. I am a former coach-aholic but really didn't find anything I had to have in their spring line. I needed a change of scenery I guess. :)

Anyway, the med espresso arrived today and some of the stitching was stringy (around the zipper pockets in front, there were white threads sticking up), and there was a scratch on the front of the bag, pretty obvious. There was also a few stitches missing at the bottom 'foot' of the bag around a stud, and the leather was inconsistent- one side was very smooth and another side was a lot more 'rough', just a totally different texture.

I am hoping this isn't a common thing to find this many issues with one bag. I have already sent it back, endless was great about it and my replacement is on the way. I understand some inconsistencies in leather but I couldn't overlook all of it.

I am kind of nervous to see the iron zip tote now.... I think it will be here Friday.

The bag my friend had was also iron, the leather was incredible. I didn't look too closely but it appeared to be very smooth all over.

Anyway, wanted to say thanks for all of the great info I've already found on the forum.

^^Welcome Chops! I have had similar issues w/my LP purchases. I once had a black Dylan Medium Tote with the white strings/threads that stood up (1/4") all along the top of one of the front pockets...very noticeable on black. My espresso Dylan Tote had mismatched panels...some were very smooth and others were pebbled. I ended up returning both bags..not just for the reasons stated but the colors were not to my liking.

If you search the threads you will see that quite a few people had problems w/streaking on the iron bags. But, several were able to exchange them for perfect ones.

It sounds like you are purchasing Fall 2010 colors so you are probably getting "the bottom of the barrel" of Amazon/Endless stock. Hang in there...the perfect LP bag is definitely worth it. ;)

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. :)

I really don't care for brass/gold hardware, otherwise I wouldn't mind buying something from the spring collection.

I am anxious to see the new espresso bag- I think it will be here tomorrow. Endless' CS was excellent. It took less than 5 minutes to deal with over the phone. I ordered the iron zip tote from Aster Alice, I've never dealt with them before. Hopefully they are as awesome with exchanges if I need one.

I picked up the one on Bonanza. I had a shoulder bag in the gold color (not the yellow) but sold it a long time ago. I always thought it was a neat bag. I waited a couple days before I bought it to try and give TygerKitty a chance to get it! Another one will pop up soon, I am sure. Ahh so you got it and it's good to see you here Olidiva! On Bonbay it happens if you're not quick to pick it up, anyone could have purchased it during this time. Sometimes I feel like shopping for handbags is a competitive sport, anyone remember the Target commercials over this past Christmas? lol

Carmelita, I haven't been doing much searching on ebay or Bonanza for about a month and a half, but I am ready to start up again and I will keep an eye out for you. Thank you, the bag is really chic and so easy to wear. Even though the leather is embossed its still soft too, which is nice.

I was surprised at how soft the croc leather was! Darn, I dont think I've ever spotted the emerald on Ebay.
