Yes looks like we are the only ones who bought it lol but it was sold out less than a day on chanel website ( I guess chanel only made 2 of them lol).
We can’t mess up on our cardboard project so if mine comes out well I’ll post it here .

Hahahahah lmao… yeah, such a waste :rolleyes: Honestly they could have included ONE set of stickers and came up with something better for the other 4 items lol… like a cute pen or notebook. Or a Chanel No. 5 shot glass so you can liquor yourself up and forget about all the money you wasted lmfaoooo

At first I was super excited about the prospect of a Chanel advent calendar. Then I saw the very underwhelming videos on YT about this debut calendar. Most of the things looked quite cheap and appeared to be freebies they still had stock of and couldn't get rid of. I saw they included a bunch of stickers and wax seals amongst other things that included a small white pouch. Nothing in this calendar was luxurious or justified the ridiculous price. The "bracelet" was absolutely shambolic. This was a shameless attempt by Chanel at a cash-grab knowing people would rush to buy it anyway even if they were selling rubbish. The white cardboard box was nice but even that would turn yellow after a while... So a definite no for me.

I think this isn't the first time ( let's not forget a glass bottle for $75) or the last time Chanel or any other super high end brand does a" cash grab".

Hermes constantly sells these tiny leather charms that are a "surprise" color when you receive them. They are most likely leftover leather and they sell them for hundreds of dollars and there are buyers.

For these companies...It's the icing on their revenue cake and they know a few of us or sometimes many of us will fall for the gimmick just because...

yeah even though content previews were out a month before launch, most of the allocated stock were still sold during preorders, so obviously there were plenty of people crazy about this set, regardless of what was in it.

I think all luxury brands make items that are more like side hassles with huge profit margins, not the category they are known for, like watches for most brands, Chanel for their fashion jewelry, Hermès for their makeup, or LV for their fine jewelry, I feel like these items are essentially there for cash grab, just this particular piece seems extra shameless.

I knew this wasn’t going to be one of those value sets, and I was ok with that, I’m just not ok with the half ass effort thinly concealed behind playfulness.

Great idea...I was wondering what I would do with my cardboard perfume bottle. I just received mine today...I love it. :)
