I love their stuff, they have some very cute pieces! I actually get more compliments on it then I do on my Tiffany or other pricier necklaces. I'm a big fan of their long, beaded necklaces. I did have a problem with a ring turning green on me once, so I'm not sure on the rings. Their necklaces are fab though, and they do use real semi-precious stones. I agree that they are a little pricey for costume but I think their stuff is way nicer than dept. store brands, plus there is a lifetime replacement if you buy it from a rep (they usually have half off specials at the parties too). The last time I went to a party there were a couple things I wanted that were still a rip off even with their little half off deal (like $130 necklaces) so I passed... but found them on ebay new with tags for around $25 bucks each!!! So if theres something you like def. check ebay!

Their stuff looks nice initially, but the finish on all silver (colored?) jewelry I've had has rubbed off. I think maybe it is ok for things you'll wear occasionally... but definitely not for everyday jewelry.


Edit: lol I didn't realize that this was an old thread and I'd already contributed pretty much the same thing! Oh well, at least I'm consistent, right?

my mom went to one of the "parties" and said she felt obligated to buy something. She got a pair of dangly earrings and passed them onto me. ( I got her a pair of diamond studs last year & now that's all she wears :p)

I'm honestly not impressed. To me, it looks like something I could find at Claires or Forever 21. I hope she didn't pay to much because I'd rather buy something sterling from Ross.

I have a 2 necklaces that I got from them. they were both in the $45 range. one of them, the stones fell off, so i crazy glued them back on. the other is fine, but then i saw it at jcpenney for like $20!!!! grrrr....

so, I would say, if you really like some of the stuff from their catalog, go to ebay and get it. there is TONS of LS being re-sold on ebay and way cheaper!

ITA, I got two necklaces from ebay and paid like $20 for it and the seller said it retailed at $119 each! Thats crazy!

I've never had a problem with any of my Lia Sophia pieces. They do offer a lifetime guarantee, so if any of you have had problems, simply send it back to LS for a replacement. I think the quality is great, which is why so many celebs wear the stuff. LOVE the gold Colosium earrings from Lia Sophia that Oprah is wearing on the cover of her magazine this month (August issue).

Ick I just hate LS, the quality is horrendous and over priced. I would rather spend the money on real jewelry that will last more than one wear. I had a woman tell me how she loved my "Lia Sophia ball bracelet!" It was my TIFFANYS ball bracelet ACK!! I was so offended! But kindly corrected her..

The problem with buying from E-bay is that you don't get the blue receipt that you need to have in order for the lifetime guarantee to be in effect. If a ring turned your finger green, then you could have it replaced by the company, had you NOT purchased from E-bay. Alot of times these pieces being sold on E=bay aren't even authentic LS. I've seen the replica next to the real deal, and there is a HUGE difference in quality. The real lia sophia silver pieces are actually rhodium plated..so they aren't made cheaply!!

hadn't heard of this line till a friend of mine had a catalogue party (hosted by a friend of hers) with all commissions benefitting my friend's fundraising for her 3-Day walk later this year. Sure, I'll contribute!!

I purchased a couple bracelets (with a buy one get the 2nd one half off dealio) and I do like them but they are not my favorites. Quality is good, just kind of an OK thing to wear but doesn't get my heart pumping.

Went to a Lia Sophia house party, and though I'm crazy about costume jewelry I found the stuff kind of bleh. Nothing really stood out. The prices were sky-high and the quality was poor. I was astonished at how much other women were buying though. Some women ordered $500 worth of stuff. I kept thinking "Haven't you guys ever been on ebay? Or to Claire's in the mall??"

I just got invited to a Lia Sophia party for this month and after reading this thread i think I'll pass on going. I also went on their site where you can see a catalog of their items, I was shocked :shocked: at their prices! For the price of a few of their items I can get myself a nice Yurman piece and at least that is real silver!
