No, but I'm currently obsessing over this delicious velvet and grosgrain bag.
So pretty, so impractical - I've talked myself down a dozen times at least
I think it's the oversized gold clasp that has me transfixed :blink:

I have the pouchette clutch in grey python and love it! And today I saw the Amalia MM and just had to get one (there were only 2 available and 1 was already spoken for). It does remind me a lot of Chanel, except it's prettier (nobody shoot me - I do love my Chanel as well) and Chanel doesn't make a bag exactly like this. (photo is a stock photo)
I love the size, the feel of the leather, and the hardware, and the fact that it is a lot lighter than it looks. I also find the chains to be really comfortable. I was wondering if anyone else has this bag and can share any feedback?

I've been thinking of getting a Lanvin bag for a while, so I'm glad you started this thread! I have started to collect Lanvin necklaces and loooove them, so I should really venture into bags. I saw this one on Barneys, the "Padova". Just a simple, unadorned pupley-grey hobo. Anyone have it?

I have had 2 Lanvin bags and sold them both. I think Lanvin makes really pretty bags, but they are not practical (for me). The one I sold most recently had a chain strap and was so heavy. The chain was much heavier than the leather, so when I put it down it just crumpled with this heavy chain on top. I also think that unless you get one on sale they are way overpriced. I saw one on barneys.com just today that I thought was lovely, but it was over $2K and made of silk without any leather at all. Thankfully, Barneys has great sales. Same with Lanvin shoes - pretty ballet flats, but so not worth $500+
I don't have this bag, but I have looked at it at Barney's. I love the shape, and I'm a sucker for anything with tassles. The color is really nice too.
I really love Lanvin costume jewelry. Their necklaces are bold and elegant at the same time. But I tend to like stuff that is a bit over the top!

I'm a Chanel lover too and I think the Amalia is divine! I'm glad to hear that the straps are comfortable. I don't have this one, but I saw it when I was shopping with my DH. He actually really liked it and gave it his stamp of approval. At first I was unsure of the zipper running across it, but the more I looked at it, the more fabulous it looked. All of the little details make this bag really special. Congrats on a great find!
I don't think it's too trendy. In fact, it's quite timeless. I do like the look of Lanvin bags.
