Ooooo!!! Kittycat65 - that's lovely! And I love the color!
Thank you. I was a little disappointed when I first opened the box because it was smaller than I imagined, but once all of my stuff was in it I loved it. It is exactly the same size as my old Balenciaga City, which was perfect size-wise. The color is amazing - it is a chameleon and is green/grey/brown depending on what I put it next to.

I own three Lanvin bags, all bought at barneys. Two were bought on hefty sale, as most Lanvin bags tend to be on sale by the end of the season there. Every season I love their bags more and more.

Quality seems the same as all bags in the same price range: good, durable, well-made.

I have a Lanvin Ontario bag in Taupe and I love it. Lanvin hardware is great and the quality of the leather is amazing. In terms of QC, any flaws in my bag right now are just from my carelessness. :P The quality is great.

I know the Lanvin Hero bags were pretty popular. Too bad I never picked one up.

If you have any Barney's outlets near you, I would suggest going there for random Lanvin deals. My Ontario was only 499, marked down from 1725 and I was at another one last week and they had a yellow "forget the name" shoulderbag for 400 marked down from 2k+. Or you can check at the end of the season at Barney's.

I'm late to this thread, but I  Lanvin. Because the brand is not that prevalent in the U.S. I always feel like such a fashion "insider" when I carry one of my Lanvin bags. Reminds me of Barneys and NYC.

Here are my Lanvins: a dark red "Niger Sac" and a leopard print ponyhair "Pop Pouchette" clutch.

I had a bright green patent leather "Heroine" bag. The quality was great, but I didn't get much use out of it because of the color. Other than that, it was perfect, and I still LOVE the brand.

Edited to add:
Cosmo: Your Lanvins are so gorgeous! I saw the red one at Barneys and was awestruck by it.

^Thanks sweetie! :smile1: Your green Heroine sounds gorgeous. I always wanted a Hero/Heroine, and green is my favorite color. In fact I've been lusting after Lanvin's dark green patent "Pise Sac" this season: http://www.barneys.com/Pise Sac/469104000895,default,pd.html

*mouth waters* I don't have any Lanvin bags, but I have a pretty good collection of Lanvin apparel, though I have sold of quite a bit of it lately. The stuff is AMAZING!!!

Even though their stuff isn't covered with logos, you can just tell it is quality--it has that je ne sais quoi and just oozes glamour without effort. I'm sure I'll spring for a Lanvin bag within the next year. I'm thinking a Jeanne one in black leather... yum.... must... buy....
