What?!? Ok.. that doesn't make sense. I would def take it in for a manager to inspect it. I have been carrying my Legacy Sig Shoulder bag with a lot of stuff in it on a daily basis... You can see just how much in the Whats In Your Coach Bag thread.. I haven't had that prob at all. Now... it has me worried, too.

For all of us that are concerned about the lining of these bags. I have a few of these pieces. The inside of my daughters is perfect and she is 16 and not the neatest when it comes to pens and mascara, etc thrown in her bags. I have the wristlet and have thrown coin, dollars, receipts, etc and no marks at all. My bag is just perfect that has been used straight for 3 weeks.

So, I called 3 coach stores in Jersey and not one of them has had these problems. 2 stores said the lining should hold up for 3-5 years when used almost daily and niether has had a complaint or return. They will repair these bags so use them without fear!

I guess its like the bead totes. Mine from 2 years ago is perfect and the lining has never shown any sign of wear. Others have had alot of problems but there are always those bags that don't hold up well for some people.

I'm careful with my dusted suede stuff but the wear is to be expected. My bags did not wear like what others have experienced probably cause I use them very carefully and rotate them a lot. I think it depends on how much you use them too and what you're carrying in it. I want to get a piece with the stripe lining cause it's so cute.

I aggree, as almost usual, with so femme. we pay good money, FOR GOOD QUALITY! DO NOT tell me that what is going on is OK! Hello?!?! Quality control?
whoa. somebody is ticked! (take a deep breath. in...and out.)

as i've said the other times you've mentioned it...coach isn't the only company having issues with quality- and that certainly doesn't make it okay! sometimes it's hard to anticipate problems like this...it's not something that coach is doing intentionally! crap just happens sometimes...but aren't you glad that coach stands by their products?!

UPDATE:

I took my bag to Coach tonight and they are replacing it for me! They didn't have one in the store so they ordered it and I should have it in a week or so. The SA who sold it to me helped me when I first got there and he said that they might have to send it in for repair. He called the manager over, she got one look at it and said to replace it with a new one.

So, I was in a dilemma because I had to leave my purse there! What's a girl to do but buy another purse, right? RIGHT! So, this came home with me:

So, now I have this bag in black leather, khaki signature and black signature. I know that may seem strange to many of you but this is a perfect bag for me. I absolutely love it and now I have three for my rotation.

Thanks for all the good advice! I am so glad that I took my leather bag in because that lining was horrible and that's my favorite of the three. You guys are the best!

I phoned 2 more stores and so far they claim no one else has had this problem. I find this a little hard to believe since you did. Did the manager or s/a mention if this is common? I am really thinking of returning my bag. I wish we knew more about this problem.

Good for you...I bought a pair of Coach gloves last month and a stitch came loose and whoah!!! It unravelled and my whole index finger was exposed!!! I brought them right back and they exchanged them..no problems...Every once in a while things happen..but never ever hesitate if you have issues with your purses/wristlets/wallets/ etc...Just save your receipts and haul them in...Coach is amazing when it comes to standing behind their products..I have bought Coach bags for years b/c of this..I have many other designers I favor as well...I'll wear a Gucci bag one day and a Coach the next..I have always been a Coach fan...Congrats on your new bag as well!! Emmy

No, neither one of them had seen this happen before. The only thing I could think of was that maybe the lining was a little too small for the bag - like maybe when I put things in it it was pulling on the stitches? Seeing I am the only one who has experienced this so far I think I probably got a bad bag. Let's hope so, anyway!!
