I understand completely, but I feel that it was the right move. I think it's just that with how long it's been in the store, it's time to make room for more. The bags sell themselves though and they were a good % of sales but not as much as you would think and honestly- not the top seller. I think it keeps things more exclusive as well!

Thankfully everyone on here has no problem seeing the bags!

We got our new floor plan and legacy is being shipped out to be condensed to the larger flagship stores (think chicago, NYC, California, Hawaii, Scottsdale, AZ etc).

The items will still be available but will NOT be going to outlets anytime soon. We really found this odd because we never had a chance to carry natural, pond and the khaki/white combo.

So, it's confirmed. The items can still be ordered of course, but just won't be as readily available!

The next time all stores will carry it again is august I believe for the fall Legacy collection. They also plan on making just "Coach Legacy" stores around the US for just legacy bags, accessories, shoes and wearables :)

Sprinkles I am bummed out about this. I live in NYC and can go to the Flagship Store and other Large Coach Stores as we have many. This is not fair to the other Coach Gals who live around the country in more suburban and rural areas. I love the 65th Anniversary Legacy Line but I hope that I am not disappointed in Fall 2007. Coach did not do anything I liked in the past four years and the previous Legacy Collections (those before Fall 06)
I did not care for at all. I sure hope that Coach is going to continue in this vein as my Ali Bag and my Shoulder bag in whiskey are superb in craftmanship and quality and I look forward to seeing more bags with this precision and fine detail.;)

I have LOVED :heart: Atlanta since I have been here. It's a whole new world to me to be like, HMMMM, I think I'll go look at Coach, do I want to run to Perimeter, Phipps, Lenox, or Mall of Georgia? LOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE to have so many choices less than 15 minutes away. If only I was done with school (4.5 years down, only 1.5 to go!) and had a full time job maybe I could afford to buy a little more.

At home its almost 4 hours round trip to get to Nashville (nowhere near as good as Lenox) so you have to plan a whole day for shopping.

If someone can produce a list of the flagship stores in the US, I would be very grateful to see that added to the new excellent Coach FAQ sticky that kallison has put up.

I *think* that the Tysons (VA) Galleria store is a flagship store but I'm not entirely certain. I do feel bad for my fellow Coach lovers in places w/o access to a store that will carry these items. I understand the reasoning, but I still say it's a mistake.

Look at what happened with the plum suede Legacy items -- they were limited in access almost to the extreme (if I wanted to see one IRL before buying, I would have to go to NYC) and as others have already said here, not everyone wants to buy something from the website without being able to see it first.

Then, after giving up ever having the chance to see one, let alone buy one, I see nearly the entire line in the outlet stores, marked down significantly. I presume that the markup margin still guaranteed Coach a healthy profit on those bags, but geez, wouldn't they have liked to sell them at full retail? I said and meant it to more than one SA that if I could have seen a plum suede Ali, I would have bought it. And I did...at the outlet...for several hundred dollars under retail. Nice for me, but not a guaranteed sale for them or for me.

Color me frustrated.

I am wondering if their thought process is that the Legacy Leather is heavy and customers might think it is more of a winter bag, whereas customers want lighter weight bags in the warm weather?

Maybe the newer colors are selling so well that they don't want to put them in the stores?

WOW, I AM REALLY SURPRISED. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE LEGACY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE TOP SELLER. WHAT IS YOUR BEST GUESS AS THE BEST SELLER, I KNOW THAT IS PROBABLY A HARD QUESTION, SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS.

I agree and love this part of the whole thing!

Where are the flagship Coach stores in CA located?
