How about a Mahogany duffle? I have the cognac, and I was thinking in the winter I might want a darker color (to go with my mood at that time of year, lol) Its still neutral, so not too far "out there". I think they have them on sale on coach.com right now in that color - sorry, I just checked and its Midnight Oak with silver, which looks very classy to me! $209 is sale price.

Thanks pruetjx...I tried the Midnight Oak before...it's kind of like a milk chocolate. Pretty but not for me ;-) Thanks for the suggestion though.

I will likely just stick with cognac - more year-round. Unless Sand pops up.

I've never seen Midnight Oak IRL, It looks darker on the website. Good to know what it really looks like. I love cognac - it is so classic. It reminds me of those original British Tan bags I had in the late 80's. I sold them off in a garage sale and every time I look at the vintage bag thread I kick myself!

Well maybe a little darker than milk chocolate... but mahogany was darker...dark chocolate. Am I craving chocolate? Ha ha. Yes cognac is classic.

I have an old Willis and Station bag in black from around 2002. They seem so small now. I've thought about selling.

My cognac duffle that I ordered during the sale arrived today with the corners already scuffed. Ugh, what the hell?! Back it goes. I know the corners will eventually get scuffed but I wanna be the one to do it. Also cognac is a darker brown than I thought.

Sorry the hear that. The same thing happened with the Cognac E/W Duffle I ordered from FOS. Arrived with horrible corner wear. I called and got a shipping label for a free return.

Here is my mahogany duffle. This color is apparently hard to find. The leather needs some conditioning, as it was sitting on a store shelf or in a warehouse for a couple years. I have some black rocks coming to me today so I will try that (It's had a couple coats of Leather CPR already). I doubt it will become as soft and lustrous as the back of my mahogany colorblock haircalf clutch, alas. That one is like butter.

Anyway it's my third duffle, though the other two are gone. Returned berry because it was like cardboard. Sold Dragonfly (so beautiful) because large is too big for me darnit. It just didn't work. I wish they had made more "special" duffles in the regular size!!

I also ordered the $21 duffle kits from FOS in emerald and fuchsia, so that will be fun to try out!

I really hope not many people paid $98 for those kits. Good grief. $20 seems jusssst right.

Hi! I am new to this forum......and I am a duffle addict! I have been reading (learning from) your posts and drooling over your pictures. I love the colors and the tassels. I have never had multiples of anything before. I got 15 duffles (one at full price, the rest on sale from Macys or the outlet). My collection is now complete .... unless I find a mint duffle. I am still holding out hope on that one since I know a lucky TPFer found one recently on clearance from Macys. Anyways, thanks for letting me share my addiction story -- is it really an addiction? hee hee. Have a Great 4th everyone.

Welcome fellow duffle lover! I love them, too! I have 6 and 1 on the way from eBay (Tourmaline and I cannot wait!). I'm pretty happy with my collection but would like to find Sunflower. I'm thinking my only option for finding that one may be eBay. Yes, they are extremely addictive. I think they look great cross-body or with the strap doubled. I love the versatility and the pop of color they provide for any outfit.
