I think cognac is the classic color for Legacy, I have the cognac molly, duffle, candace, and they are all different bags so don't feel repetitive. I think cognac molly and duffle are a good pair.
Do you have other sand colored bags?

Thanks katierose. I just tried on the duffle again. I should probably just stick with the Cognac. Probably more versatile than the sand and not as much worry in regards to color transfer or anything. I am super careful with my handbags though.

The only thing that bothers me (maybe why I haven't committed to her yet) is the back has a lot of texture/grain in the leather whereas the front is nice and smooth. Very different from my black duffle leather.

Here is a picture of the back and a mod shot....

I agree. I have cognac rory & cognac e/w duffle plus the matching slim zip wallet. Even among the 3, the cognac tone looks different.

I have cognac Rory, bucket, e/w hobo, lg hobo and 2 wallets.

In deep port I have lg Chelsea, Turnlock Tote, hobo, Mini Tanner, large wristlet, 2 wallets and 1 card case.

Those leathers are so nice, multiples were required lol.

Ok, ladies, I need help deciding! Trying to pick between deep port or BV studded. I already have marine, and a black studded.. I love the deep port color so far from what I've seen, but I'm a sucker for purple bags!! And those studs.. I think I'm talking myself into getting BV, lol!

Thanks BeachBagGal! Oh boy...am I ever a neutral person. Not just with bags but with clothes most of the time too! It is frustrating...Coach seems to have some in inventory but they are not on the semi annual sale and I haven't seen any at my outlet lately. So...then it is down to eBay. (Unless they are added to Coach sale).

Thanks on the Molly...I just bought a lovely pendant/earring set that looks great (IMO) with her. I am going to wear her out today...again!

Pictures please - wanna see your new goodies with Molly!

Well going from being totally neutral to a tourmaline you should be proud! :D Oh and I saw your new jewelry to match in another thread...looks good! We all need a little (or a lot!) of color in our life!!! :p

That wouldn't bother me since it's on opposite sides of the bag. If it was on adjacent panels, it might be more noticeable. Maybe some conditioner will help if you do keep it.
I received a scarlet Phoebe with two different looking leather panels next to each other, but the price was great so I kept it. I'm sure I'm the only one who would ever notice it so I won't let it bother me.

Duffle lovers....I'm trying to decide on a brown duffle. I currently have a cognac (that hasn't been used) but I'm considering a Sand one. I already have molly in Cognac . Thoughts or opinions?

Hi

Just keep in mind that Sand leather is a bit different than others, more stiff and hard, it will not slouch nicely, thereorofe I would not pick this color in duffle style, but perhaps Rory or Candace which will look OK not slouched.

The question of 2 cognac bags, it really depends how big of a collection you want to keep, 2 bags of same color might be overkill for me in my small collection but not for someone else who keeps 20+ bags.

Have you considered a "colorful" color? Seeing how much you are enjoying your tourmaline Molly makes me think maybe you should explore some more out of your usual comfort zone.

I would get deep port.

If you have marine and black, then deep port is little more different. Black violet is too close.

How about a Mahogany duffle? I have the cognac, and I was thinking in the winter I might want a darker color (to go with my mood at that time of year, lol) Its still neutral, so not too far "out there". I think they have them on sale on coach.com right now in that color - sorry, I just checked and its Midnight Oak with silver, which looks very classy to me! $209 is sale price.

I am often drawn to the studded version - it seems so different than any other bags out there. However, the deep port is a lovely color too. I guess I'd say to go with the studs because they are so different. Maybe consider white with studs, since you already have Marine?

Does anyone know the difference between vermillion and carnelian? I want an orange-reddish kind of bag, and I'm thinking carnelian, but I saw a couple of pebbled vermillion ones on ebay and I'm intrigued. I like that pebbled leather, although I think I'm in the minority.
