Thanks...but in US? I was looking at one that was up for auction... seller said it was sand but silver hardware.
Yes, they made it in US. I actually bought one and returned it last summer bc it was all scratched up. The light khaki does have silver hardware, sand had brass so it is possible the eBay listing is light khaki.Thanks...but in US? Glad you love and that is cool that you are making your own organizers! Is it hard?
Too cool! I'd love to see a pic of the bag from the outside too. I have this same one on the way and I'm wondering about a purse organizer for it.![]()

Yes it did, but it's so close to Sand it's hard to tell the difference.I'm trying to remember....did the duffle ever come in light khaki?

No, it wasn't too bad. I'm not a very good sewer (seamstress?) so if I can do it you can too! I started with this video from YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_-uDs9cYKg
I made the finished measurement of the insert part 8" x 27". I made the pocket part 5" x 30" - which, I should have given myself more room here because once you use material so the pockets are big enough to fit around all the little things you put in there, you use a lot more than 30". I bought the ultra stiff 2 sided-fusible interlining from Joann for the insert, and used a much thinner fusible interlining for the pockets part. The toughest part was I decided to sew in a base, to make it more stable as well as protect the lining. That was hard and my seams weren't straight. I will have to think about how to do this better next time.
Here are pics, first no insert, kind of puddled, and the second with the insert in it. My insert is about 8" x 11" x 4". I may have made it too tall because I still want the top part to slouch a little, but its great because it sits up by itself now.
I also added mod shots of me with the bag with and without the insert. I like to wear it with the strap on the shortest setting as a long shoulder bag. I'm 5'10" and too many pounds!
(I am sorry my pics came out sideways - they look ok when I upload them!)
I'm late to the party, but I just received my first large duffle in cognac that I ordered last week from FOS. I'm in Duffle Love! I wore it yesterday and received so many compliments. Already stalking eBay for other colors! (Oh no!)![]()
I love it so much I decided to make a purse organizer for it. I found a good video on YouTube and adapted it. It works so well, I decided to make a smaller one for my other FOS snag, tourmaline Molly too![]()
Sharing my new cognac east/west duffle. Love it!
Gorgeous!! Love the cognac. Enjoy her!
