I have a beautiful vintage Marc Jacobs bag in yoghurt calf leather that I'd like to bring out again this summer. I've had it since 2007 and it's been well used. The leather has a few dark scuff marks that I'd like to try and restore. Is there a colour restorer product anyone can recommend that might bring it back to it's former glory? I've seen a few that are manufactured for leather furniture but say they can also be used on shoes and handbags - are they worth a try?

I've tried collinil gel but doesn't have much effect. It's the corners of the bag that are the worst - like the surface of the leather has actually lifted off, sort of like when kids scuff their white leather shoes. It's a heartbreaking sight on such a beautiful bag, should never have used it for work
