I've always enjoyed going into H stores in Las Vegas but never purchased anything from the stores in the US. However, I was in Vegas this weekend and I wanted to ask for a Constance and my mom was interested in a 2 different bags. When I walked in, the SA greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything specific so I told her Constance (preferred 18, but 24 is fine too) in pink or royal blue leather (not exotic). Without hesitating, she was like "I do have an ostrich royal blue with rose gold hardware in 24" so she brought it out to show me. Gorgeous bag but too big for me. She then mentioned "Oh actually, I do have a hot pink crocodile 18. Would you like to see that even though you didn't want an exotic bag?" I was so excited. It was the perfect shade of pink and looked amazing! The price tag was reasonable but it was a bit over the limit I wanted to spend this trip so unfortunately I turned it down. However, my mother did get one of her top bags in one of her favorite colors so yay!

My question is, is it normal that a SA would offer 2 exotic bags right away? (Without even checking my purchase history). I had such a positive experience this trip:smile: can't wait to go back next time and maybe I can get a Constance in regular leather haha.
Can I ask which store offered you these bags? Those sound like wonderful offers!

Congrats on getting the offer. I believe that it is easier to get offered the exotic because of the high price point so they don't sell as easily as regular leather. If you want a Constance 18 in regular offer, it would require you to build a relationship and purchase other items. It is due to the high demand.

Thanks everyone! We really had a great experience:) after my mother purchased the bag and decided to have the store ship it back home, I called the store and asked if they could send a shopping bag along with the box/bag since that's how my mother stores her bag. However, the SA sounded confused and didn't know what I meant and once she realized she said that she "can't send the shopping bag because of company policies".

Has this happened to other people before? Could we go ask just for the bag when we go back to Vegas in a few months?

I know that when I order Hermes online store, they do not send a paper bag. So if it's a gift (and I need the paper bag), I order the item to be sent to the Hermes store. When I pick it up at the physical store, I will request the store give me a paper bag (which they are always happy to do). So maybe it is a company policy not to ship their paper bags...

As to if you can ask for a paper bag when you get to the Vegas store in a few months, you can ask the SA on the phone. I'm sure she will say yes (but ask her to make sure).

Going to Vegas for a trip in the next few months, do you all think it’s worth it to visit the Vegas H stores? I’m pretty dedicated to my lovely SA back home and don’t want to be tempted to buy something when I can just get at my home store.

What do y’all usually do when traveling? Just browse only or buy items that you know you won’t be able to get at home? Or take a chance and ask for a B/K/C, cuz why not?

My home store is in the US. When I’m traveling domestically, I usually visit other H stores because I enjoy seeing their floor plans. I never buy anything though! Your SA can easily see your purchase history. A one-day romance with another H store could ruin your relationship with your home store imo.

My exception is fsh and my H fairy happily acknowledges that infidelity because the prices are too irresistible!
