What do you think they do with those bags? They rotate the displays all the time, at least in NY they do
According to my SA, the display bags are in rotation per group. At some point, store A’s bags will be sent to store B; store B’s bags will be sent to store C; and so on. The display bags do not even arrive with orange boxes nor felts nor UPC tags and are thus impossible to sell.

interesting, thank you for getting the scoop!

Checked out all Las Vegas stores this weekend while I was there on a quick trip. Loved the temporary location of the Bellagio store. Way less manic than in the main lobby. They had a great selection of shoes, men's, and RTW to look at. A new pair of grey/beige lizard orans that were TDF. As far as bags on display they had an orange minimum birkin 25 that was positively fluorescent. A couple kellys as well. Wynn I did not think had great selection of shoes or RTW. Seemed picked over (but maybe it was just what I was looking for). They had a nata epsom mini kelly on display. Very cute. Alongside a black sellier kelly (IIRC). Crystals had a great selection as well, but different from Bellagio so I was able to see some different offerings. On display they had a gris neve birkin 25, gris asphalt (I think?) Constance mini, Contance in vert criquet.

It was a nice browsing experience and I was able to try on a few things to think about ordering from my own store.

In terms of "display" bags, all stores are different. My home store has some display bags that are sent by corporate and need to be returned, and other display bags that are indeed from their own inventory and can be sold afterward (currently a drool worthy toile kelly that I'd love to get but alas, my quota for the year is full).

That's so interesting, thanks for sharing! Do they allow guests to try on the store-owned bags at your store? That'd be a good reason why they're so finicky with the bags at the Wynn.

I would say it depends. If you want to just try on a bag to try on a bag for size etc, that’s what the sample bags are for. They cannot be sold and typically stores have a few to try on of various sizes.

In general, SAs aren't going to pull display bags out of the case for just anyone, especially if they are store-owned, need to go into the general stock, and be sold to clients of the store. Clients are expecting new merchandise, not display items that have been tried on and touched many times over.

Anyone have any luck with non-QB at the three H stores? I have my eyes on a mini lindy and don’t know which store to start my H journey with. I’m not a big spender but I’ll probably be buying fine jewelry (less than 3k), shoes and silks.

Did you have any luck? I’m in town and wondering if it’s worth trying Bellagio and crystals for bags. Wynn had a couple but not ones I’m looking for…
