Love: When your husband leaves? Can I look at the size, in Prague, but only for a week. The prize can not tell you, Prague is more expensive Lancel about 20% -40%. But such a small nylon cross body Roll'N Rock stands in Paris € 105. I think it will be similar.

R2D2: Lamarthe Portofino is a beautiful handbag Mosaique, and other models. But the world is the only Parisienne: it is called - Premier Flirt. ;)

I went to lancel store when I was in Paris, but didn't like their styles much, and quite expensive for casual bag so I went to la marthe down the street instead.

It seems they have increased the price a lot since I bought the old Elsa! I have never heard of la marthe. I will definately check it!

He will go there the end of March. If you happen to see the bag, I would really apprecaite if you would check the size and the price.:smile1:

Lancel is very popular in France, The Flirt and the BB are great, though , persnnally I think the latter is much too expensive for a non leather bag.

They don't have a store in US. Sad! When I found the price of the BB, my jaw dropped! I know they have not expensive line to very expensive line. But I thought their price was mid range. So the BB's price tage was out of my assumption!

I got my first Lancel last year when my brother went to Paris. I got the flirt with the silver chain handle straps -- not sure which flirt that is. It's kinda confusing since there are no stores in the u.s. Love the style and the leather feels very soft but I thought it was kinda expensive since I heard the bag is not made in France. I heard it's made in China. Does anyone know if that's true??

At the time my brother bought the bag the exchange rate wasn't very good so it was more than I thought (almost $1,200 US). Still love the bag but wished it was made in France. I remember the tag said something like designed in France. It was a disappointment because I know it's a popular brand in France.

I'd love to know more about this brand as it's been around as long as LV. Please share... :)

Congrats on your Lancel bag! When you have a chance, please post a pic!:graucho:

It doesn't surprize me if it has a made in China tag. Lancel and Longchamp are in the same category for me. Maybe not so correct. Anyway Longchamp also made their bags in China, too. http://forum.purseblog.com/handbags-and-purses/longchamp-made-in-china-215172.html

And high end brands are getting in that direction, too.

LV just changed some styles' tag and seems the materials are made in China and assembled in US.

Thanks for the info about the changes that the designer houses are making when constructing the bags. It's a shame. I think there are some quality issues when they move the creation of the bags to China. The Lancel I bought has a production defect on the chain. I should really call up the Lancel store to complain but have hesitated since I have to call Paris (time zone etc). I'll try and post some pics of my bag but I have to warn you that i am photo challenged. Lol...

And some photos from shop. A young man just printed my name on the bag.

My mom is obsessed with Lancel, and she has no other designers she really is even interested in. She loves Paris and is there every couple of years, and always comes back with a beautiful Lancel bag/wallet(which has lasted 10ish years and looks amazing), this March she came back with a new beautiful wallet.

In May this year I have been invited to Lancel Show-room for the Press-Days in Munich and took these Pictures of the new 2012-2013 Lancel Collection:
