To be honest, this wedding looked more like a fashion show for a beleaguered fashion house than anything. How much time did she spend at her own parties with that many complicated clothing changes?

To each their own, I’m not saying she should have done it differently, it’s her wedding. But not my cup of tea. One large dress was more than enough for me.

She's a fashion model and with their wealth status, this wedding party/celebration is as expected. It's not my cup of tea either but I'm not at all surprised with the way they set it out to be :)

Don't know what her relationship is like with her father. They could have the same kind of parent/child issues as comes up in any family.

To be fair, I don't know any fathers who would be exactly thrilled that his daughter is marrying a man five years older than he is.

My dad's much older than my mom and married her but he didn't like that my husband is 10+ years older than me. So hypocritical  Though my husband is older, we are just regular people with no vast amount of wealth so I definitely didn't marry for money :hbeat:

You mean like 3 days before in the backyard of a cottage and the one we just saw was for the world? :roflmfao: Nothing against you or Kitty. Just making fun of the ingrate cousins :drinks:

Haaaaa! Good one :)
Yes, the Althorp backyard would be perfect. IMO this was the show wedding/party, the real one was probably last year. Another reason the earl and the aunts skipped it.

I wasn’t surprised, I just think that perhaps this wedding had a different focus and that’s why certain people were not in attendance.

The age difference is huge but I don't think Kitty married Michael for the money because she has her own money and is a millionaire in her own rights.
She's working and probably gets a good salary, but the Spencers aren't that rich, other than Charles Spencer, who has land... but huge expenses.

I read that's why he charges tickets for people to see Diana's grave from a distance.

Anyway, as A1aGypsy said, it looks like D&G used the wedding for a gorgeous, self promoted fashion show.

Agree, especially since they’ve posted it on their social media. Yes, yes, she is their spokesperson, still, it is over-the-top.
Pretty, but too much. More like “wedding”, rather than wedding.

You know. Just because a woman has money/ comes from money, doesn't mean she doesn't marry for money. You think rich women love to marry down? They marry down because they can't find ppl on par with them, so they focus on other attributes. I think she wanted a certain lifestyle away from her family and he provides it, the dad disapproves because husband is older than father!

Truth is, when you marry a man your father's age, he probably already has a will drafted. It might be disappointing when the time comes and she gets LESS than she thought she would. Or she's not even in the will.

I like the dress, not the union. Just my 2 cents. Not here to start an argument.
