My dad's much older than my mom and married her but he didn't like that my husband is 10+ years older than me. So hypocritical
Though my husband is older, we are just regular people with no vast amount of wealth so I definitely didn't marry for money

Yes, the Althorp backyard would be perfect. IMO this was the show wedding/party, the real one was probably last year. Another reason the earl and the aunts skipped it.

I wasn’t surprised, I just think that perhaps this wedding had a different focus and that’s why certain people were not in attendance.
She's working and probably gets a good salary, but the Spencers aren't that rich, other than Charles Spencer, who has land... but huge expenses.
I read that's why he charges tickets for people to see Diana's grave from a distance.

You know. Just because a woman has money/ comes from money, doesn't mean she doesn't marry for money. You think rich women love to marry down? They marry down because they can't find ppl on par with them, so they focus on other attributes. I think she wanted a certain lifestyle away from her family and he provides it, the dad disapproves because husband is older than father!
Truth is, when you marry a man your father's age, he probably already has a will drafted. It might be disappointing when the time comes and she gets LESS than she thought she would. Or she's not even in the will.

I saw some comments on Insta that ir was more of a fashion show than a wedding. Not sure I disagree.

We are still in Covid times, compare this wedding to Beatrice and Edo's wedding, I know which one I preferred and have for myself.
