Her brother Louis, Viscount Althorp and half brother Sam gave her away. I've not heard if her sisters were there.

She has two sisters and one brother.
She has one half brother and two half sisters via her dad.
She has one half brother via her mum.

The Earl has an injured shoulder. He couldn’t go on the dive to promote his book either.
While the reason the Earl did not walk Kitty down the aisle hasn't been made public, he did reveal last month in an interview with MSN that he was suffering from a painful shoulder injury which was affecting his freedom of movement.

The 57-year-old, who had hoped to accompany divers on an expedition that would have looked for evidence from the sinking of The White Ship, the subject of his bestselling book, shared that his doctor advised him not to undertake the dive.

He said: "It sounds like a pretty feeble excuse but is really quite painful and unpleasant. I asked my doctor ‘can I dive?’ and he said, 'only if you want to drown'. I decided that would be taking the authenticity of the adventure too far."

No doubt his children were delighted that he chose not to take the risky trip!

    Lady Kitty Spencer's father Charles was notably absent from her lavish wedding in Rome at the weekend, after their relationship went downhill following his third marriage, a source has claimed.

    Princess Diana's niece, 30, wed retail millionaire Michael Lewis, 62, at a 17th century Italian castle on Saturday, in a stunning lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana, for whom she is a brand ambassador.

    But instead of her father, 57 - five years Michael's junior - Kitty was walked down the aisle by her brother Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, 27, and half brother Samuel Aitken, whose father is businessman Jonathan Aitken.

    A source told MailOnline: 'Kitty and Charles were very close when she was growing up, but their relationship has cooled and been more distant since his marriage to his third wife Karen in 2011.

    'Charles recently suffered an injury and perhaps that will be the reason for him not travelling, but it is just easier for everyone that he is not there.'

    On Friday – when the wedding rehearsal took place – Earl Spencer posted a picture of the moon over the family's ancestral home, Althorp in Northamptonshire, on social media.

    He has been battling a painful shoulder injury, which he revealed last month was affecting his freedom of movement. However he did attend the unveiling of the new Princess Diana statue in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace on what would have been his sister's 60th birthday.

    The insider told MailOnline that his physical condition is unlikely to be the reason he was absent from his daughter's extravagant nuptials.

The age difference is huge but I don't think Kitty married Michael for the money because she has her own money and is a millionaire in her own rights.

There's a huge possibility that her father didn't attend the wedding because he disapproved of the large age gap. Who really knows? On the other hand, it could also be totally due to COVID restrictions, quarantine restrictions etc. Her siblings were there so she didn't alienate her family completely unlike a certain Ducka$s that we are familiar with, whose wedding was not during a pandemic.

For the time being, Kitty has my benefit of the doubt until she proves otherwise. I highly doubt Kitty with do a OW interview to throw the Spencer family under the bus or cry that her dad cut her off. As mentioned in the opening paragraph, she has her own money. And thank goodness she is classy and discreet!

If Kitty is really in this for the money, kudos to her for being able to do it privately without making a scene for the world to see or bringing shame to everyone involved.

Agree, she is most definitely *not* in this marriage for money. IMO it really is love. They’ve been together for several years and have handled their lives with quiet dignity, unlike several other couples. In the fashion world, all sorts of ‘different’ situations are tolerated, so in that world, there is nothing unusual about the ages. None of his kids are bleating to the press about her. In interviews, she handles herself with grace and poise. Both are aristocrats with plenty of their own money, so all is well. As far as the Earl is concerned, if there is a falling out with Kitty, my guess is it’s over money. He has frequently complained about the lack of and the difficulty of keeping Althorp together. Let’s hope he has not been after Kitty for money. At the statue show, he did not look like he has aged well at all, so the injuries could be taking their toll. All the siblings were with her, so that says something.

Another possibility - due to covid, the ‘real’ wedding had taken place earlier. This could be a ‘wedding celebration’.

To be honest, this wedding looked more like a fashion show for a beleaguered fashion house than anything. How much time did she spend at her own parties with that many complicated clothing changes?

To each their own, I’m not saying she should have done it differently, it’s her wedding. But not my cup of tea. One large dress was more than enough for me.
