Ladies with I color e-rings...thoughts??

I see yellow in your first set of pics, but not so much in the second set outdoors. Don't let the color bother you if the stone makes your heart sing and you really love it. Although, if it does really bother you, exchange/upgrade it to the stone you want. No sense in keeping something so expensive if it's not exactly what you want.

ITA! on paper many ppl would pass up on my stone but IRL it's just gorgeous IMO & i would not trade it for anything. you should have something that you would be proud to wear and show off.

thanks everyone! it is CRAZY, but it is looking smaller and smaller to me! the dreaded DSS...the color hasn't gone away, so i think i will see if i can upgrade to a stone with the same specs but with a H or G color. this is going to take some time...

it's going to be pricey too!
I'm suffering DSS as well:sad: Mine doesn't look large at all to me anymore:rolleyes:

It is really hard to find a stone in this size that's ideal. Best of luck!

thanks swanky! i think it will take a long time to find something unless i luck out. i don't want to compromise the cut at all, and i'm sure stones of this caliber are few and far between

i have an h color si1 pear shape and also purchased from whiteflash. it never fails to amaze me esp. when i am driving. the color looks white most of the time but mine is smaller than yours.i learned from the other forum that the bigger the stone the more color it shows.

I have an "I" stone which is a little over 3cts. I notice that it looks yellowish whenever I'm inside my car which has beige leather interior. Also I do notice a huge difference when I compare side by side to my mother's "D". I love my ring though!! I find that sometimes my mom's looks too white & somewhat fake.

I have a 3.25 D color ideal cut, and I agree about your moms ring- sometimes it actually looks TOO white, and almost fake. It's beautiful, but sometimes a stone with "personality" is better. Enjoy your beautiful WF stone and don't worry about it!!! It's lovely!!!

Ok I know I am late to the party but the in-the-box pics I definitely see body color in but part of it is because of the stark white surroundings. You might also find that you are more color-sensitive than most. I have an H but I only notice any body color if I look from the side in certain light.

I noticed colour in the first set of pics, but probably because you have pointed it out and I was looking for it.
I am colour sensitive too so I understand what you mean when you said the tinge would bug you, but in the 2nd set of pics, your stone looks absolutely white and very stunning indeed!!

If you don't absolutely love it, don't settle though. Large size, well cut diamonds are hard to find, but the hunt for the "perfect" stone, is part of the fun!

It's beautiful - but I am curious how this story ended up now that it is October?

Loofa - did you find a G/H stone you liked as much; did you set this I stone in the LM setting?

thanks for bringing my thread back. i actually ended up trading the stone in for a 2.3 G SI1...it is MUCH whiter, and i don't see much of a size difference. it is actually being set by leon mege at the moment. i will post pictures once i get it back!
