You don't have to buy it, but you may want to get more educated on it.
There have been reports and studies for MANY years that have delved deep into healthcare disparities for black people compared to others. The studies hit on the point of regardless of your income level, healthcare for black people is far less important than others. That's a fact. The mortality rate among black women is the highest in the country, 3 times higher compared to white mothers. We are turned away at emergency rooms more than others as well.

knowledge is power.
Like I said, I don’t disagree on healthcare disparities between populations. My skepticism is about it affecting Kim in any way. Money makes a difference. Period. Most likely she had access to the best insurance, doctors, facilities etc. The average woman doesnt have access to private physicians and a staff to come set up an IV in her home. That’s my point.

you’re saying she wasn’t taken seriously because of her race?? I don’t buy it. A multi-millionairess isn’t treated the same as the people in that article. She had the means to go to a private Dr. and have private nurses come to her mansion to set up IVs. Not everything is about skin color.

Yes, see Serena Williams and daughter-in-law of Judge Hatchett.
Serena is still with us. The other lady is not.

Kim Porter's Cause of Death was a Form of Pneumonia

Kim Porter, the mother of 3 of Diddy's children, died from a form of pneumonia ... TMZ has learned.

The L.A. County Coroner's office released the cause of death as lobar pneumonia -- which is an inflammation of an entire lobe of the lungs.

According to the report, Kim had gotten a massage from her goddaughter the day before she was found dead, and watched movies with family members until going to bed at 11:30 PM. The report lists that as the last known time she was alive.

Her goddaughter saw her at 8:30 AM the next day, but thought Kim was still sleeping ... so she left for work. The report says housemates checked on Kim again at 11:30 AM. When they found her unresponsive, they called 911.

There were unopened or partially opened bottles of water, Pedialyte and sports drinks on Kim's nightstand. There were also antibiotics -- a Z-pack -- a bowl of tomato soup and some Tylenol.

TMZ broke the story, Kim was found dead in her Toluca Lake home in November. Sources close to Kim told us the model was battling the flu and complained she wasn't feeling well the day before she was pronounced dead at her home.

Two days before her death, Kim had called her doctor saying she didn't feel well and had no appetite. The report says a nurse made a house call to give her a saline solution drip infused with vitamins. The next day, Kim complained to doctor she had a streak of blood in her phlegm.

The toxicology report says there were no narcotic drugs or alcohol in her system.

Kim was laid to rest in her home state of Georgia with an elaborate and moving funeral, which Diddy planned. He also delivered a very emotional eulogy during the service.

Kim was 47.

Y'all can keep believing race has nothing to do with her poor treatment....this ish right here is just sad. Money has nothing to do with it and until you actual walk in a black woman's shoes in regards to this topic, it's probably just best to listen to our experiences. Her death was preventable if her doctor just listened to her complaints....but they often don't...many links to articles to educate yourself and understand that money doesn't make all that much of a difference for us.

When she called her doctor it sounds like she should have been told to go to the ER. Maybe she was? I don’t know. I work in the medical field and often times we have to tell people that. The problem is more often than not people don’t want to go and that’s just normal folk. I can only imagine a celebrity or pseudo celebrity being told to go to ER. Their head would pop off. People don’t like going to the ER for many obvious reasons. It’s a sad story and it sounds like her death could have been prevented.

I'm no expert here but I learned recently that the US is something like number 32 in infant mortality and that is largely due to black women and their babies. And it's not necessarily related to income or education. Look what happened to Serena Williams.
It's shocking really that our great country which we all think of as the best in the world would be so low ranking on this scale.
