I'd like to point out that Kylie and Kendall are not accurate representations of teenagers today. I'm kendall's age and my friends and I don't behave like Kendall and kylie. We don't document every move on IG (in fact, most of my friends don't even have instagram) and most of my friends just post pictures of nature and stuff. Also none of us dress like that, and if we saw someone dressed in one of their "normal" outfits, we'd think it's skanky.

Thanks for this post @glamourous1098! It's nice to know there are young women out there who still carry themselves in a respectable manner and doesn't live and breathe social media.

I'm not around alot of teenagers so I sometimes SMH thinking that these kids are the future!! I wish you and your group of friends much success in the future and hope that all your dreams and desires are manifested!!

:tup: Really good to hear that your's and your friends have interest beyond social networking.

Sometimes looking at the teens I see around me, their lives seem to revolve around social networking and IG...often sitting in the same space with one another and interacting with each other through social networks. I do think though that every generation has its distraction and every generation had their fair share of the prior generations looking at them shaking their head wondering what will become of them in the future; it's part of being young and maturing. As far as I can tell, the world is still spinning.

I trust, however, as real life starts to take over priorities will shift but it sounds like you and your friends might be ahead of the pack.

Very good post. I'm glad there are teens who are not into social networking.

I was always a fan of good old telephone calls and/or text messages. And, to be completely honest, I never really understood the essential purpose of social networks. People claim fb, twitter, IG etc. help them keep in touch with old friends. My answer is simple: If I wanted these people in my life, they would be. There's a reason they are not, so what's the point of exchanging comments on pics to just "keep in touch". I know lots of teens who have over 100 friends of fb/IG etc. but, really, who has that much friends in real life????

Pig has polish, red. Very poor taste imo and I think they buy/ use their animals for the photo ops.
