Hi all! I'm wondering if some of you guys have this happening to your wallets? The straps are pretty tight and after leaving it closed for a while the side of the wallet is "squished" and sort of "out of shape".

Also, do the straps stretch over time?

For now, I only buy Epsom- I like that the corners stay stiff and structured. One thing I will say is that I rotate wallets quite often as well. My local SA and SM made comments that my Gold KW I bought 4 years ago looks brand new.

I think you may have pulled the straps a little hard because they tend to be hard to close when new before leather is stretched. I have an Epsom B that I can not close the strap very easily as well. So don't pull it too hard and if you can't close it, just close one strap first and let it rest. The dent won't be permanent unless you keep pulling the straps. Open the wallet and bend the sides slightly and massage and it will regains its shape. Do it slowly so you create creases. Give it a try.

Klynneann, thank you! I am so thrilled every time I reach into my handbag to pay for anything-- nothing like velvety box to brighten even the most mundane transactions. I feel lucky to have found this one-- it's from 2011 and seems to have barely been touched; the straps have taken a few weeks to ease up a bit so that the wallet is easy to open and close.

Hopefully box Kelly wallets will be back in production again soon. There are beautiful examples farther back in this thread not only of black box, but Rouge H, Prune, and Bleu de Prusse box! :love:
