hi ladies, may i know if you are able to stuff a lot into the kelly wallet, i.e. cards, receipts, notes? because of the turn key closure, the SA said there is a limit to how much you can stuff. comparatively, a constance wallet will be able to hold more things. would appreciate your feedback please. Thank you.

I can stuff a lot, even my iPhone into it. I don't think your SA is correct. The Constance wallet only holds about half as much. The 2 wallets that holds most are the Azap and the Kelly long wallets.

thanks, jadeite. very tempted to get a kelly wallet as i like the design of the card slots. only concern is the turnkey. based on your experience, do you find yourself extra careful when putting the wallet into your bag?

I am not Jadeite but I carry my kelly wallet in a pouch inside my bags. This is to protect the wallet and also the bag.

I've been using mine since 2007, usually inside a 30cm B. I do not open the straps & batwing the bag, the flap is tucked inside but the straps are always closed. The turnlock has never been an issue. The only issue I've ever had is about every three years I have to have the turnlock replaced because sometimes I really do overstuff the wallet!

I wanted to get the Kelly long wallet, but they seem to run at the same price range as some other (non-exotic) Hermes leather purses. I like the design, but don't understand why it's so expensive!

I think this is hard to understand, most of the Hermes wallets cost more than other designer purses and you "just"have a wallet after having spent a lot of money....

the reason is that it is like childrens shoes, they are much smaller but nearly cost the same as adult ones.
they have to spend much (hand)work on all the details of those wallets. I think a picotin is less time in finishing than a kelly or constance wallet.
AND: you can wear it as a clutch:smile1:

PS: this comes from somebody not even owning a single hermes wallet;)
But: I would really love to have a kelly or constance one!!!!
