Kelly in Epsom vs Kelly in box: pros and cons

Others have outlined the various properties. I only have Box and non-Epsom other leathers. Both have their place, it's great that you have both.

Box Kellys are coming back now so a few are arriving new in stores. I wear mine with either very contemporary clean even casual styles or go the complete opposite and wear them with plain dresses and vintage cut swing Max Mara coats. Either way, I think it works.

Due to weather considerations, Epsom for me. However, I like the idea of a box kelly for evening events...

Chevre and Togo are my favorite for sellier overall - beautiful AND durable, although box may well be the most beautiful - but I haven't kept any Epsom items, not even SLGs.

I know box is considered "the" bag for afficionados, but (having sold mine) I wonder how often they are carried. For an easy to carry bag, I would chose epson (assuming togo or chevre wasn't an option).

I thought Kelly Togo Sellier was SO only...am I wrong?

It is SO only, so is chèvre, mentioned earlier, 99% of the time, but it's still one of my favorites.
I'm figuring OP is mostly thinking of sellier Ks as I doubt most would choose Epsom over Togo in a retourné.

Someone posted a pic not long ago of one but I forget who and where I saw it (thread). But I do remember it was stunning! (either black or a dark blue color) If it wasn't SO, a K Togo Sellier would be my 1st choice
