When travelling abroad, there are times when you have no choice but to put your trust in strangers.
So spare a thought for actress Kelly Hu, who filmed an extraordinary taxi journey after her driver decided to do a U-turn on a major motorway in Tianjin, China.
A worried Ms Hu - who appeared in US TV series Nash Bridges and CSI New York - gives a running commentary as a friend of the driver turns round to laugh at her discomfort.

'Why wouldn't he have just gotten off at another exit?
'We are now getting off in the wrong direction again. Welcome to China.'
Writing of her experience on her blog, the 42-year-old said: 'While on the freeway our driver realised he was lost and instead of getting off at the next exit and turning around, he decided to make a u-turn in the middle of the freeway and proceeded to travel in the opposite direction of the traffic!!!

'Apparently this is not uncommon in China, especially in Tianjin.'
The city is home to about 10m people and is situated in northern China.
It is one of five national city centres and is home to the fastest supercomputer in the world.
