Its perfectly fine... 55 you can get away with it. I do all the time. You can surely fit 1 week worth of clothing if u pack smart.

It may still be fine since a lot of the reviewers i watched said that it easily slides beneath the seat in front of you

You'll be fine. Took mine on Easy Jet (small regional plane in EU) multiple times with no problems. When in doubt, just pay extra for priority. Pack smart!

All that hype 2 weeks ago about carrying getting smaller was the media looking for an attention grabbing headline but really was mostly about a new suitcase design that had been introduced by some company that they we're calling the suitcase of the future.
