I'm shocked! Even though I thought her husband was weird she seemed so in love!
yea, I just read it too.... sad.
I remember when they first got married and she couldn't stop telling everyone (all the interviews) how great her sex life was, I was getting jealous! Too bad.

ET has confirmed that superstar couple KATE HUDSON and her husband, BLACK CROWES frontman CHRIS ROBINSON, are separating after nearly six years of marriage.
Kate, 27, and Chris, 39, became the proud parents of baby RYDER RUSSELL on January 7, 2004. A year later, Chris escorted Kate to the 'Skeleton Key' premiere, and she gushed to ET about motherhood and married life on the road.
"[Ryder's] great. It's so much fun! He's getting so big and it's happening so fast. We don't spend much time in Los Angeles. We spend a lot of time in New York, but we're pretty much on the road experiencing our life."
The happy couple wed on New Year's Eve, 2000, at the Colorado home of Kate's famous mom, GOLDIE HAWN (and her longtime partner, KURT RUSSELL) after a whirlwind meeting and seven-month courtship.
"We spent an hour together, and I just moved in," she told ET back then.

That is sooo sad. Although she was quoted just this month as saying she did not think two people could remain faithful for ever, which I thought was wierd, why marry in the first place if you truly feel like that? She also said that she did not mind what he got up to on the road, as long as she did not find out about it 
Wow. This is interesting. I have a gay male friend who works in the entertainment biz. He told me a long time ago that it was rumored she did not want kids so soon and he did. He even alluded to the fact that there was a pregnancy terminated before she had the child she has now due to her wanting to pursue her career. Who knows if it's true- but there is a big age difference and he may want to settle down and do the family thing whereas she still wants to build her career. Nevertheless that's a shame for all involved.
Oh that's really too bad. I also thought that there might be something up after reading the recent W interview (the one with her on the cover). She mentioned that when she's touring with Chris she's had nights where she just screams/sobs uncontrollably and feels so hopeless/alone, b ut that she really wanted to be there for him. After I read that, I figured their marriage was on the rocks.
I bet she makes more than him..what's his band's name? For the sake of Ryder I hope this doesn't get ugly. She might end up like her mom after all..her next relationship she might not want to get married just be commited to each other. It seems to work out well for them.
