Kate Beckinsale is all smiles as she lands at LAX Airport on an inbound flight on Monday (September 23) in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old actress returned from a trip to China, where she attended the star studded Oriental Movie Metropolis events in the Qingdao area over the weekend.

Kate attended two events associated with the Metropolis. Earlier in the day, she looked gorgeous at the Oriental Movie Metropolis Ceremony before attending the Oriental Movie Metropolis later that evening.

She plays a vampire in the Underworld movies.

But Kate Beckinsale seemed to be taking style cues from another mythical creature at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Wearing a glittering blue mermaid-style dress, the 40-year-old actress showed off her famous figure to full effect as she joined her fellow celebrities to honour Martin Scorcese and David Hockney.

Kate Beckinsale looks exquisite as she arrives at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 40-year-old actress will be hitting the stage to present an award during the telecast.

Earlier in the week, Kate struck a pose while attending Antonio Berardi’s Private Dinner held at Mr Chow.

FYI: Kate is wearing a Zuhair Murad gown, Jimmy Choo shoes, Edie Parker clutch, and Chopard jewels.
