I need help deciding which size looks more proportionate on me- I’m 5’0. I was looking more of an evening bag to wear on the shoulder with the chain doubled up (most of the time). And I want to purchase it in the black colour but they didn’t have the black in both sizes so I just tried on the nude. The one without the tassel is the small and the one with is a medium. I tried them out crossbody and with the full chain on one shoulder too.

The small looks a lot nicer on your frame I think! The small barely fit anything for me but it might work for you as an evening bag though. Good luck deciding!

The Small would get my vote only because it looks nice all 3 ways you are wearing it. However i do like that the Medium Kate has a shorter chain strap which sits higher and nicer when worn crossbody. Also the bags will look smaller in Black.

The strap drop is what I like about the medium too! But I think the bag looks a tad big on me.
However, I feel like the small strap is too long for me to wear on the shoulder but the actual size of the bag looks perfect on me.

If you would like to shorten the strap on the Small you can simply tie it up with ribbon inside the bag, hopefully that solves your dilemma!
I'm also 5'0 and I have the small Kate as it was a better size proportionally for me. The small kate actually was re-made in a new size last year so it fits bigger phones! The only con about it is the strap length, but I use a ribbon to tie the chains together on the inside to shorten it. Just be careful about wearing it double chained because it puts a lot of strain on the piping where it's known to crack and rub.
I didn’t know that about the double chain. I may have to reconsider this bag or another one because that’s how I wanted to wear the bag..
If you would like to wear the bag mostly double chain, perhaps you can consider the Envelope bag, as it comes with 4 grommets and is designed to be worn doubled up?
Thanks for the suggestion! At first, I didn't like the Envelope bag because I wasn't a big fan of the envelope flap and I loved how the Kate bag is so simple and sleek. After watching some YouTube reviews, I love it now.
